sorry for the thread jack but its been this **** on the little guys crap lately, im sorry having a blower makes you think you're better than all.
omg shut up. i was just talking to that one guy that came off as a dick to me. no one else, no beef with 2.2's from anyone else. Im sure they can be monstors, but that dudes with his mods, and they way he replied to me, is NOT.

ANYway....

to the op dont real bad, my brother has a ms3 and they respond to mods so great and it is very easy to get power out of em. They are very fast. With basic bolt ons they can push 300whp easily. My brother went to the track with slicks intake and turboback and ran a 12.7. They are no whor

i had a run in with a ms3 a few months back i was actually getting on a highway ramp which is pretty long i cut the ms3 off and he didn't take to kindly to that so as we get on the highway i see him coming up behind me and so i downshift. See, i didn't know it was a ms3 i thought it was just a regular mazda 3 hatch anyways with downshift and all he was still pulling up to me quick and as he got to my right right i looked at him and he flipped me off and was yelling and **** i just laughed and flipped him off. The funny thing is i wasn't trying to **** with him on the ramp i was really trying to antagonize the civic si that was behind him, lol.

damn. people getting butthurt so easily...

anyways, please tell me you arent using a stage 2 tune with methanol...

if your seeing 11.3 - 11.5 on your wideband you could definitely see a few more hp by leaning it out to 11.7-11.9. bump the timing to 23* - 24*.

and yes, the extra 150lb passenger will cost you about a tenth in a quartermile pull so it very well could have made the difference in the race. NEVER race with passengers. not only does it slow you down, but you put them in danger. you will be in deep **** should something happen to them. Do not want to open that can of worms...

Also, as someone said, the ms3 gets wicked with even minor mods. so dont feel bad.

I know two guys that have some decently modded MS3's ( They're kinda dicks.. well one is..) but they're fast there's no denying that.

So I'm not surprised that you lost you said by like 3/4 to 1 car length which isn't that bad... It's not like you got walked or anything.

But yeah, even between a stock SS/TC & a MS3 it'd be a drivers race...
lets not get too happy here..... 230 ish whp / 250 ish wtq stock.

As u were.

thats why Im basing mine off actual dynos from the MS3, none of that crank BS. Crank doesnt mean crap if u have awful PT loss.

whp > crank hp

I dont think ive raced anyone decent since ive put most of my perf mods on, and i was sayin on RLF, that last winter i raced someone, and from that race i found out my car was not running right. So thats a reason i posted this too, just to see how those run and where i should be at compared to run to see if the car is still runnin right, ya know.

nice bike btw.

hehehe. Nah dude, I have faith in ur abilities.

Seriously though, Im thinking it might be a tuning issue. Might want to see how its running on a dyno. Stage 2 is a decent tune to start with

I had two ecounters at the track with ms3s. The first one i ran i beat, he said he had a manual boost controller and that was it. I ran 14.4 he ran 14.6. The next ime i went to the track there were two more up there. I run the first one, i hit 14.3 he hits 14.4 but i think he had a bad 60ft. I ask him what he has, he says manual boost controller at 17psi. Then i run the next one, i run 14.2 he runs 13.7. It was quick, i ask him what he has, OH ****, could you guess? Yes, a manual freaking boost controller. So i dont know if these guys where lying to me, but those things where all over the board for just having a boost controller. I guess one guy had his cranked up more or something

well..ill stick with it either being a tuning issue, or he has stuff done to it that was installed before he bought it and he doesnt know. its not TOO car saavy, so i dont think he would know if something was on there thats aftermarket. oh well, thanks guys.

No he had no tune and they dont even make bigger injectors for this car yet. Its direct injectored, with a cam driven fuel pump

See MS3's dont do well with only boost controllers because they get boost cut and there boost spikes. If there computer read to much boost it cuts boost instantly
