just seems liek if someone disagrees with you, you get mad.. I know a kid who has one and I beat him twice.. And I dont consider my car really "fast" at all, its just a cobalt.. I was just expecting with the mods you had you woud have had him by atleast a 1/2 car.

and yes, your expectation is what i was expecting too, so when it DIDNT happen, i posted cuz ive never raced one, didnt know what they can do against us, and also checking with the results, maybe my car is not running correctly.

Oh yeah...and like idiots, we raced going up-hill basically, on the highway....dont thnk thatd make that much of a diff either tho.

What are you serious? They are slow. You must have lost your mind. Race my brothers and we will see how slow they are. Just give respect. They are quick, specially for 22grand. To the op dont be upset, ms3's are quick dont listen to this guy. With a average driver they run a 13.7-13.8 stock. And like i said they are very responsive to mods. Anytime a intake UNTUNED mind you can give you 19whp, thats good. You not gettin that out of a cobalt or rl. I have a cobalt and i love it to death but its hard to get power out of em without raising boost or spraying simple

my friend put down 247hp, and 258lbft on a dynapak with just the cat back. AS Ive read and from what he has gathered, a downpipe and a intake wake those cars up extremley well.

So take it for what its worth, those MS3's are pretty damn quick.

my dad has an ms3 with intake only and he can keep up with me pretty good...i think if he figured out that the car loses power after 5xxxrpm he might stay up with me...the car definately feels faster than mine

 

Dude, reading those mods for each one of your cars.. You should've won. You should've jumped considering it takes them a second to spool. Then kept the lead or pulled a little more inch by inch. Truly my opinion. Look at my mods.. I pull MS3s all day-- 3 cars from a dig and 2 on the highway (Any mph roll)

 

if you are trapping 100 u should not be winning, those cars trapp higher than you completely stock. The famboyism of this site is quite big which is understable but we have to give the credit where its due and those are not slow and should be faster than a SC balt

 

At my local track the trap speed is KNOWN to be 2-3 and sometimes 4 mph slower when compared to trap speeds that we get at other tracks. Different factors apply. And stock vs. stock maybe you're right. But there are some things called mods that are being considered here. That cobalt should have won that race.

Wrong.. When you gas it in a s/c balt the tq doesnt come into play till about 4000-4400 rpms. MS3's tq come into play around 3ish. When me and my brother race From a 20. He reaches full boost before me. MS3's srt's and gti's dont have much of a lag on a stock turbo as everyone thinks. Look at it like this. There boost doesnt have to be high in rpms like s/c balts. Their boost makes their rpms climb our rpms make our boost climb. Get it?

 

A local guy dyno's his MS3 and it was stock except for a Cobb Short Ram Intake, dyno's 252whp and 280wtq, another with the same intake and test pipe did 259whp and 281wtq..they work alright, however i am still bale to pull my buddies bolt on MS3 from a 40 roll. However from a 60 roll he is almost dead even with me. I have full bolt on balt with 2.8,60's,tune, meth, intake, exhaust

 

I started to read the first page, as soon as I seen someone talking about a TT SRT-4 I realized how worthless the thread could end up being. I eat 400whp MS3s for breakfast Syclone > MS3 and since when do they twin turbo SRT-4s? haha

 

i raced a 350Z, with an intake and a catback i think... 40mph roll. i have an 09 SS/TC all factory performance. we were dead even thru 2nd and 3rd. we were on the highway, and he started to pull ahead in 4th. he got me by maybe, like a car. i shut it down then... looked down, doin 120

 

you also destroyed 50trim SRTs as well right

 

Hey it doesn't take much for the base's to be as fast and surpass the Type-S's. Stock for stock a bad driver in the S could get beat buy a good driver in the base. Not that the Type-S's are a rocket either though.

Some of the base owners get pretty serious about modding and they are no joke at all.
