well i have raced a few evos and never lost from a roll, but holy **** was tonight different!!! i was kinda sorta playing with a rsx-s(not that entertaining), when outta no where comes this old guy in a black evo MR. im thinking, hmmm i have never raced a MR, ill probably lose but oh well. well i can hear that he is sitting in 3rd just waiting for me to go. so i pop it into third and launch it(oops the a/c is on!!!). anyway, once he takes off it is obvious from the sound of this thing that he is far from stock. from 80mph up to about 120mph, he pulled about 4-5 cars on me and would have kept going im sure, but we both decided there was no point in getting to stupid speeds since he had clearly won. i threw him the thumbs up and he waived back at me as i exited. felt kinda good to get killed by this guy since it was just such a bad ass car!

 

Yea, I lost to an evo in a similar situation and by about as many lengths. Stock ones can be beat on the hwy but some modded ones are badass.

 

yeah all i could hear was his turbo and his loud ass exhaust

 

I doubt it was third gear, I hear Evos fall flat on their face in 3rd.

 

Can't wait to finally get to drive one tomorrow. The only Mitsu dealer in Omaha finally got two in after about 4 1/2 months with none on the lot.

 

he said it was stock man, and im pretty sure he could guesstimate what gear he was in by how fast he was going

 

lol dude i'm not sure what kinda lancers you been hearin about... lol maybe the shitty ass O/Z Rally Ricer edition falls flat on its face in third, but the guy probably had a stage 1 or stage 2 Vishnu kit.... BTW a stage two gets you netting high 11's, (car and driver tested one as a matter of fact).... I kid around my city has a stage one and runs 12.4@113

 

Good loss. If he was stock, it would have been much closer. I couldn't believe how much power loss there was up high when I bought mine. All wheel drive sure loses a lot of power!
