Ls1 ws6 t/a

Well had a little fun with a WS6 T/A today. Dont know what was done, it sounded stock for the most part other than maybe exhaust.

Anyways started at a 60 roll, he was an Automatic so that's there 2nd gear sweet spot, works for me because thats not a bad place to boost at in 2nd. So we went, started off well I had about a car on him and I was a bit suprised. I was a little late on the 3-4 shift and when we had to shut down he had a half a car on me.

Overall I was impressed, I have had 2 LS1 Trans Ams, and 3 LS1 cars in my life. And I really wasn't expecting to keep up with one with me being in stock form.

Made me have a good day.

It was an automatic. Don't think you can get that bad.

When he looked over confused, and gave me a thumbs up. I think he was.

Why exactly is this hard to believe? The 1/4 Traps are the same stock, for stock. It's not like we raced from a dig, so the top end should be similar.

The auto's also are a bit slower that the 6SP's too. Sounds about right for racing a 4SP auto.

They are the same if you take the best stock TC trap and the worst stock LS1 trap, then yes you are correct but do you really think those conditions happened? Just saying...

You can just buy those badges, they were from some vendor i think you could get "ws-7" spoiler and accessories, nothing special about them and they certainly dont have a LS-7

Its quite possible about this outcome. A good running TC will sorta keep up with a aged LS1 car. The LS1 should start walking away up top though.

Yea... So what did you wind out 2nd gear to? Like 65? Only a moron's gonna start from 2nd in a 60 roll in a Balt, let alone it's a bad spot for 3rd also.

people buy those aftermarket badges because they buy a ls1 non ws6 and make it "better" then a ws6. hence ws7.
LS7 could be another way to look at it
