LS3 Camaro vs GMS1 TC
How much power are GMS1 T/C's putting down??
I just can't see a FWD Cobalt that traps at 102MPH stock (plus whatever the GMS1 adds) beating a RWD 6 speed manual Camaro that traps 111MPH stock.
The new Camaro is a very powerful car, maybe the guy just couldn't drive worth a damn.

Second, a GMS1 TC puts down around 280whp and 300wtq, if I'm not mistaken. I could see 107-108mph traps out of them. That gets them within range of a Camaro with a shitty driver which, let's be honest, is probably fairly common. SS Camaros are being marked up into the territory the 'Vette used to occupy - I'm willing to bet its primary demographic is fat old men.
Not only that but from a 40 roll he started in 3rd gear (moron). Once the TC shifted to 4th though the Camaro ripped by and was about to pull about 10 more lengths in a matter of seconds
I told my friend if we dumped the fat chicks and let me drive that car it would be romper stomper on his Cobalt, he agreed lol
I changed my sig for you

First of all, TCs trap 104-105 stock. It's been done.

That, or your buddy's Balt is a LONG way from stock.
They may be a few hundred lbs heavier, but they have almost twice the power, and a lot more torque under the curve.
Just simple math. And from a dig, stock for stock, with comparable drivers, it would be a slaughter fest.

I race with quite a few Fox body guys and they are almost all under 175 lbs.
I do agree that most of the Cobalt owners are younger, but your other trap speed comparos are not real world.
On the topic of trap speeds, they are only 1 indicator of a cars capability at the track.
That is why races "from a roll" level the playing field a LOT.
Low end torque is very hard to compete with in real world drag racing. There are many other variables involved in the outcome of any drag race.
I've seen cars ET the same with extremely different trap speeds.
ex:
10.8 @ 126
10.8 @ 138

Listen, full boltons usually refers to a car that has most the bolt ons you can have. You said the car had long tubes along with intake, exhaust and a tune. That is pretty much most the bolt ons minus a few minor things like a under drive pulley.
You do understand your buddies balt is maybe a 111 trap on a good day with the wind at his back. Stock SS auto's have gone 109ish. Full bolt ons should put them much higher then that, as the tune alone helps a bunch on the auto SS's in removing the torque management and helping better control the AFM and 6speed tranny. The more I look at your story the more I am thinking it is BS and he raced a full bolt on V6...
Why would you make that up? Shoot I don't know, maybe because you are talking in text and trying to gain some respect online to give your self a boost of self confidence???
Thumbs down, haha...
See above smart guy...
Again full exhaust equals pretty much full bolt ons, and a set of long tubes on LS cars work wonders. A full bolt on GTO versus your buddies car the GTO should pull a couple cars and get worse above a 100. Now being a 6.0 or 5.7 makes a difference too. Which model was it? And a auto or 6 speed?
Dude can't drive worth a ****???

i think it is the 6.0 not sure. i think his year model is a 05. and why the **** would i want to gain respect online with a group of people that hate all the time and always down somebody on every ******* story they come up with. i have already seen this 3-4 times. i just think its bullshit how everybody on here always bashes other peoples storys just because they do not believe them. And he was not a v6 dude. i know better than that.

You won't think its BS if you didn't come on here telling fairy tale stories then you wouldn't be called out. But I always get a crack out of people who say "why would I lie...". Like I said, it is probably a pick up for you to hear people talk about your stories and brings a smile to your face, maybe even some happy tears?
If you knew better then you would know that your buddies balt wouldn't pull 5+ cars on a full bolt on 2010 Camaro SS, probably not even a stock SS at that with how the TC notoriously starts lagging above a 100!
Tyler
all that is really funny because i was in the car for both races so i dont see how you can tell me how the race went and how it did not happend. and i also personally know the guy with the goat so dont try and tell me that i dont know his mods.
