mach 1 vs ss/tc?
mach 1 vs ss/tc?
Got a friend that's selling his v6 for a mach 1. Can't drive stick very well but that comes with time. My car is bone stock. He is talking so much **** just like anyone with a v6 mustang. I told him I can't wait for him to get his car. I told him he can have any race he wants dig roll I don't give a ****, and I will stay unmodded till after the race. According to him my fail wheel drive won't have a chance. But yet he was in my car when I roll raced a supercharged 2v saleen and pulled on him. What do you guys think will be the outcome??
Hell I'm even looking for a car for him know I'm that annoyed. So if anyone knows were I can find a stock mach 1 that is dark gray around Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana let me know PLEASE!!

The Mach1s are about equal to a 3V GT (05+). From a roll it will be close and from a dig he should take you. It all depends on driver though, if he can't drive you'll smoke his ass from any speed. Going from a V6 to a Mach1 is a huge jump for someone that really isn't experienced.
Tell him to quit being a ricer talking **** about something he doesn't even have yet.

I'm bone stock. I figure if he can launch the car he will win from a dig. But I ride with him all the time and don't believe he can win based on how he drives. On the high way I think I can get him.
it's gonna depend on the driver. It is going to be very close from any roll, but from a dig you're dead if he can drive.
check mach1registry.com to see if there are any stockers for sale. That's the best place to look.

maybe. we can trap 105-106 stock with a good driver. Shibito, you may be talking about my car. I am fairly close to lapeer and I'm out at the track all the time, but my car just sold and it is nowhere near stock.

The problem with a mach 1 is that I have never seen a completely stock one.
Well I spent some time today helping him look for one but hes is probably going to keep bitching out on buying one. Guess it has to be perfect. I will run the black car buy him to see if he wants black.
So what are you plannning on getting now?
i finished the motor. The car is running with a 2.8H on a forged rotating assembly, a stock top end, a t56 and a built 8.8". I have a 9" but, i never got around to the swap. a guy i've known for a few years made me an offer i couldn't refuse on the car and i get to see it run all the time, so i decided to go another route. The car was too much work for being in college. I'm really not sure, but i'm thinking '10 camaro or a high mileage 300zx that i'll paint matte black and build to a T. I'm gonna wait a semester and really make sure i know what i want. We'll see.

You might want to look for a used GT500 too man. You'll be able to pick up a GT500 next spring for mid - upper 20s.
What has the Mach ran at the track?
Actually it's a fake Mach 1 at the dealer here lol. Has the Mach 1 decals and the cool hood but it's just a GT under the hood.

Stock Mach1 5spds run 12.9 to 13.4 with a good driver. However they made auto mach 1s which had a lower redline and only a 4 spd. They are high 13 low 14 cars.
The Mach1s do pull uptop so if the kid learned to drive and your stock he will pull you in every gear.
On the well its a v8 argument well its an early 90s designed v8. Its also a heavier car.
TC SC cobalts are nice cars but dont get cocky with them stock. All things being equal the mach 1 is going to get an SC/TC in every gear.

I'd say the Mach 1 5-spd's were are a little stronger than the '05+ GT's especially in a roll race. The stock Mach's I've seen had no problem pulling on the newer GT's. They average mid to low 13's trapping 104-105 on a good night. He'd have a decent advantage on the Cobalt from a dig if he can drive, much closer from a roll.
Dont lie about your mods. Then that in turn makes him think your car is a low 13 second car stock, which it isnt. Race him before the tune, then get the tune, tell him, and race him again. Dont be one of those guys who always lies about his mods. Why **** off a Mustang guy, it doesnt prove anything besides there are probably 100k Mustangs in your state alone that can beat you.
