Mazdaspeed 3's???

So my OTT stage 1 kit comes in tomorrow and from the info provided I should expect 40whp depending on other mods. Only other thing I have is an Injen CAI for now and here is the scoop...

I have an oppurtunity to race TWO Mazdaspeed's whenever I'm ready. I haven't raced one yet so I'm getting ancy.

The first, is basically just stock. SHE has just an intake so I'm assuming about 280hp (crank).

The second is the killer. He's got an fmic, intake, dp, and tune. Estimated 330hp (crank).

I'm fairly convident I will beat the one with just an intake but how about that other one???

What do you guys think?

well you will keep up for a tad bit, but since your stating that it is tuned and has other mods, it doesnt look like the race is gonna be in your favor, but ya never know, good luck

one of my buddies has an MS3, I raced him when he just had an intake and I pulled fairly decent from about 40-80 where we shutdown. I would say 1.5-2 cars. I'm M stage 2 and injen intake BTW.

depending on driver, you may win or lose against the chick with just an intake. THe other one that is more modded should beat you pretty badly.

Really? Those cars are that fast huh?

I guess I was just skeptical because of the weight difference... If I was gonna attempt both anyways, what kind of race would give me the best chance? (dig, 40 roll, etc)

dig or slow roll would be your best chance. Those cars have really good top end.

I recently traded in my 06ss/sc for a 06MS6 with a hks bov and muffler delete, other then that its stock, me and my buddy raced, highway pull from 70-143ish twice and first time he had me by half a car second time by a car, he has a 2005 ss/sc w ottpstage1 I/H/E and a custom tune. now keep in mind stock for stock the ms3's are considerably faster then the ms6's off a roll. awd the ms6 is faster, idk the 1st ms3 u mentioned wil give u a run for your money but the second one should walk you hard. take vids!!

I have a cold air intake on my speed3 and i think the supposed hp gain is really over rated. I'd say no more then 10 hp, if that.

JUST RACE HIM AND FIND OUT! i actually really want to know what happens, if you win by 2-3 cars, then the ms3 driver has the retarded driver mod.
