so today, i was driving through town, and somethin catches my eyes, its a brand new 07 mazdaspeed 6 i nearly creamed my pants, it was so sexy, anywho, were rollin though town, than we head to the highway, we stop at the red light (i was behind him) when the light turned green, he switched lanes so i could get by him (was in 2nd gear) when i get next to him, i see him gun it, so i do 2, i jumped about half a car on him, than swtiched to 3rd, in 3rd he sayed half a car length back, and in 4th i started to pull away a little more, than we saw a cop and shut down. i didnt look at the speed hand, but i know we were movin pretty fast, the cop didnt bother us though, than we pulled over and i said "sweet car man" and he was like yeah u 2, than we just chatted a little... his gf was laughing her ass off. cuz we almost got busted. i made the comment "i thoth u were gonna dust me" than he said, maybe off the line, but not top end, so i donno, specs on this car is very impressive

thoser are nice, but they are heavy, off the line he would take you for sure, since they are awd.

 

I have seen them run 13.7 stock.......only like a 98 trap though

 

My brother just picked up a '07 Speed3. I can't wait for the weather to get better. He's been talking so much crap and I really want to smoke him. I rode in the car and it is nice but doesn't feel any faster than a SS/SC.

 

They are fast from a Dig... but from a roll, they are just like a WRX.

 

the car runs 13.8-9's bone stock. from a roll would be ur best bet but they aren't slow.

Well if he manages to take the 'Balt i'll be rolling the Z-28 in a few months and he won't have a chance. That ran low 12's in street trim with a 383 stroker. I'm in the process of getting a 396 small block stroker now.

 

this is an old post but i'm bringing it back because i ran into an 07 mazdaspeed 6. i ran him from a dig and i was up about a car at 65mph. he had me off the line by a half a car and then i totally killed him midway through 2nd, he had to shift and i kept pulling hard.

i think stage 2/intake balt vs a mazdaspeed 6 w/ intake, balt will win by a ~2 cars from 0-100. just my guess from what i saw.

it was funny though cause i didn't hear any wheel spin from him (awd) and i had it at the end of first and chirpped into 2nd. man our cars would be nice if we didn't have to worry about that. either way the guy was cool, we talked a bit.

From a roll and with some mods, we can hang with them alright. However, with mods on theirs, they're fast as hell. My friend has a speed6 with Bigger Intercooler, Intake, BOV, and Catless Downpipe that runs low 13's. I've seen him do it, that's no bs. The downpipe makes the biggest difference on those cars.

 

he should have one, i think im going to trade my car in for one in a few months.
