i have had my car now since may and can never find anyone to race.
but tonight coming home i raced a mazdaspeed six from a roll and killed him.
i thought they were a little faster than that.

you raced him from a roll. And he was probably stock. what mods do you have?

if he was stock then, that explains it. race him from a dig and I'm sure it would have been a decent race.

 

i raced one from a dig, i was stock, he was stock, i pulled a car on him before we shut down...... he pulled a half a car on launch, but i quickly pulled on him when i hit 2nd, and i just kept goin on past him. i could of pulled a few more cars for sure if we would of kept goin.

 

i took a mazda 6 it was in the summer. it was from a dig . we were sitting at the light and he took off, i did not relize we were racing so i punched it and took him by half a car by 80mph. im a 2.4 with all the bolt ons and i had my ac on. when i passed him he looked pissed. he bailed after that.

 

i have a buddy with one running a 12.8 in the quarter. Pretty much everything you can do to it on the stock turbo

 

you are also trapping over 100mph.. which is what they do stock.

Thus why you beat him from a roll.

tell him i said good luck. That **** is gonna blow in so many ways. pistons suck, stock turbo SUCKS, tuning is a bitch, TONS of people have differential issues, etc. wow. What a fun car.

expect it from alot of mazda owners too. the ms6 has SOOO many problems. I have had to work on my buddys with him so many times its absurd and all he has is a top mount and TBE. That **** ploomed smoke constantly until mazda replaced his turbo with a new one TWICE, and he said he's afraid to mod it any more cause a ton of forum members have blown motors with just bolt ons.

 

its the truth I wish I could say other wise. Its the stock ECU I dont know what mazda was thinking when they came up with that tune.....

 

Mazda wasn't thinking. It was Ford. That's where the problem started. I would appreciate it if people didn't flame cakeeater for knocking on Mazda. He drives a car from the controlling business. As an example, I'd like to point out that the Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion are practically the same car. It's like Saturn and Opel with GM.

Before I get flamed I want to openly acknowledge that all car companies have problems, including Honda.

the problems with the ms6 can be traced back to mazda and ford i guess but that engine is solely a mazda power plant. they fucked up. I've heard of multiple stock motors blowing. It's the same way with the msp. The msp is the only car i can think of where the company took a basically stock n/a block with shitty internals and slapped on a turbo. Mazda has made some VERY respectable motors in the past, but recently quite a few of them have been very lacking in the potential department. the rx7 motors used to be great, with tons of potentila (not so reliable, but strong) but now the rx8 has a piece of junk under the hood. The msp was pretty much built by tonka, and it seems with the ms6 it is a total hit or miss. Some people have made big numbers for long periods of time with no problem while other have blown stock motors. That is why i said good luck...it is literally gonna be up to luck.

 

After doing a business analysis on Ford last semester for my Management 3500 class I came to the realization that Mazda has a better idea of what it is doing than Ford. For example, the Mazda 3 and the Ford Focus are almost the same car, but the Mazda is much better IMO.

You don't trace back a Mazda motor to Mazda..

You trace a B-3000 Motor to ford.. you are high, I'm sure of it..

 

You don't have to be an owner to know if a car sucks or not. Common sense steered me away from this car when it was a toss up between a ms6, ss/sc or a SRT-4 neon at the time. Reading reviews, forum members history with the cars says it all.
