it's probably 3.42's then as thats a pretty common gear for f-body's although that is only for m6's. Auto's came with 2.73's or optional was 3.23's.

that H/C/I trans am should've blown the doors off you lol. my cousin has a cam-only '00 WS6 and he destroys my '97 WS6 which runs 12.6 @ 114.

Well to tell you a little bit. from a roll a few of us will hang or beat that high 11 car. My last time at the track I was in the mid 114 mph range but spun the short end bad. Ohh and you must spin horribly because thats a high trap speed for a 12.6 and rear wheel drive. What was your 60 time.

You're still running 12's and trapping over 113mph on the stock tires with the mods in your sig? Man I need to get to a track that is actually prepped.

I've had my car for 13 months now, been to the track quite a few times, and have left some black marks on the street a few times, LOL. And my tires have been bald for about 3 months now. Looking to get some MT DR's or Nittos.

OP. Talked to the guy i though was the owner of the T/A and it was him. And just to clear things up it does not have aftermarket heads. He ported them himself, which proably accounts for the sub-par numbers.

It sucks to have a car like that and then break it trying to race a cobalt. He was real cool when it happend. I bet he is depressed now looking at all the money he will have to spend.

well there is no such thing as a cali special v6 and on a built block it should be making way more power than that. On top of that, a h/c ls1 should absolutely demolish you from a roll, dig or reverse. BTW how did he rev too high on a stalled auto? Sounds to me like you met a bunch of liars.

yea, when in reality, it's the cobalt owners that clearly have the fastest. especially the near stock ones owned by 18 year olds.

I have only met 2 guys who thought their v6 was fast, and I've seen plenty of built and turbo'd v6's that run faster than any Cobalt on this site. With that being said, like "cakeeater" said, there isnt a Cali Special v6 Mustang. I know most v6 owners have their car just to have a Mustang, which is why Mustang sales are always up so high, because of v6 owners.

I'm glad I'm not 18, and I know my Cobalt isnt fast, especially compared to most tuner cars around my area.

I will bet you a 1000.00 it is a cali edition v 6. next time to mansfield I will get pics. And the LS1 guy said he was running it out to 6600 rpms and usually only goes to 6300, and by doing that it het the rev limiter. Like I said before I dont know to much on the ls1 cars, and it has already been confirmed in the tread that he did blow the motor. and that it had a cam and ported polished heads(however they were not race heads like I had stated earlier. Also I was just putting up a little race that happened, I am not trying to say that I will take the next TA or camaro, but that it did happen this time.
