Me Vs You
Me Vs You
Well I'm impressed. ...except for the steering control of the driver of the supercharged Cobalt. He crossed the white line and almost took out his driver's side with the on the freeway ramp wall. I pulled out infront of him when he did that. I was pulling on him a little bit at high speeds on the straight, but I could not loose him fast enough. He stuck to my blind spot (I thought he crashed cause I couldnt see him). We got to traffic and he had a lane to himself and lost me.
I tried to give him a thumbs up, but he didn't look interested and was changing freeways again.
Anyway, to the silver Cobalt SS Supercharged in Phoenix on 143, here is your tumbs up:
The rest of you Supercharged Cobalt SSes too.
Please don't flame me. I'm not trollin'. I'm just here to say that I'm going to take my car to get the ECU flashed to make 260hp instead of 200hp on Monday thanks to you guys and your cars.
My car is a 2006 Audi 2.0T with no mods.

It's a DSG, little different than an automatic. Also faster than an automatic and manual transmission. And it's about 500lbs difference in weight.
I used to have a Camaro (two of them). I did everything on it myself except for welding the catback. I was thinking about having my friends put a turbo on it but the Camaro scene was dying. I test drove a GTI and bought it. But then I got out of playing with cars. When the A3 came out, I traded in the GTI. They got rid of lag and wheel hop.
Seriously though, when I looked up the Cobalt, I was shocked to see that it was at 205hp. I've never driven a supercharged car before, I think I will stay turbo. All I can think is that a Cobalt got me and I must get flashed revenge!
Take care guys!
lol.... nice run...
I haven't run an a3 yet... but GTI's are delicous. ..(I can't spell for **** lol)

Yea, some of those cars are real nice. I like when they put those dip dish rims on them. A few guys at work are into VWs and Auids or w/e. Guy has a A4 and a S4. One of them is a V6 twin turbo. He has rims and chipped. intake. Another guy has a V8 S4. Handling they both kick my ass but stright line I beat them both. Fun cars to play with for sure.
This is the one I am going to get, 60hp for $500.:

2006 with 260 hp audi tt with no mods and how do you think you will push 260 hp......For one your warranty will be shot audi is a **** car for the tuner crowd they wont let you **** with the ecu, intake, barely an exhaust, blow off valve.....And this is from past experiences with my family owning 2 tt's and a a3....and what do you have the a3?????2.0T????
our cars can eat tt's from digs or rolls their not fast at all out of the hole.....A3's are quick cars by no means slow but we would hand them their ass if were stock....The thing bout audis though they are a more refined car they dont have these little problems we have, steering clunks an so forth

I dont understand why people are saying bad things about him. He came on to give a thumbs up. Hopefully we will hear what happens after the flash. Audi's are pretty sick cars. My buddies 2000 A4 was quick. Personally i havent had a chance to race one yet, maybe soon =P

Other aftermarket modifications will void the warranty if there is abuse. There was a guy back in my Camaro days who posted an his service report that voided his warranty when his transmission wouldn't go into gear correctly. The document said things like "oversized aftermarket wheels and tires", "melted asphalt and tire rubber in fenders", "oversized aftermarket intake and air filter", "oversized aftermarket exhaust"...
My Camaro had all that stuff, and I still got warranty work from all the dealerships I went to. I guess I didn't have the melted stuff on my car to show the abuse (or transmission issues).
I looked up some stock times for both cars and the Cobalt SS Supercharged is about 5mph and 1 second faster in the 1/4 mile than the Audi A3. Again, I'm impressed. I didn't realize Chevrolet was going back to making cars that can move like that.
I'm not going to go out and get one mind you, but I'm gonna think twice before I do something like that again with a Cobalt.
How are the gains with a pulley swap?
Is the Saturn Ion pretty much the same car (to watch out for)?
Aftermarket and warranty are based on how the service center calls it, not necessarly Audi. ECU mods will usually void it, but they make them undetectable when they're turned off. The only way they would know is if they take the computer out and see it physically or you left it on for service. Flashing ECUs you can either take it back to the place that flashed it or buy a module for yourself to put it back to the stock settings.
