yeah, those mr2s only weigh about 2000 pounds or so. kinda like having a less powerful lotus elise. go figure they both use toyota engines.

Stage 2 injectors is called Stage 1... yeah.

The newer model MR2s are a joke... kinda like the Miata... nice car... comfortable little convertible... but no power.

just incase no one posted the specs....

2000-2005 toyota mr2 spyder
curb weight : 2195
engine : DOHC 1.8 liter
hp : 138
tq : 125

In 2000-01, all MR2 Spyders had the same powertrain: a dual-overhead-cam, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine working with a five-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed sequential manual gearbox became available for 2002 and was upgraded to 6-speeds in '03.

all this info comes from consumerguide. com
