mustang owners can be gay
well, tonight i had a run in with a 88-90 fox body gt... his exhaust was dumped before the axle, had skinnies on the front and it looked like 17x10's or so in the rear...not sure if dr's or not...anyway
i left for dinner and pulled onto the highway with my fiance at my side, he pulled up right behind me and we drove for a few miles. it opened up and i started giving it gas in 4th...he gunned it so as did i, never had time to downshift to 3rd so i stayed in forth...by the end of the race he pulled about 1/2 a car length...started at my rear wheel well and ended right in front of my hood.
shortly after i was going to exit, as he started to rev on me... wtf? acting like a ricer jackass...
so i pulled back over and skipped my exit coming up to him in 3rd waiting for a second run...but no luck, we drover for another 3 miles and exited while reving.
why? i don't get it. little annoyed that it wasn't a set race but i'll take the loss with my head down in aggrivation.
-edit: if u can please move this...wrong area...duhduhdur

Well, I was gonna send this to you via PM, but your inbox is full, so here.
hey stu, theres a small car club thats been starting up for a few months now. Me and small fry went and hung out with them a few weekends ago, good peeps. They're holding a car show on July 8th at the Vato Zone on Rodney Parham, or maybe its Markham. Either way, just wanted to let you know about it. Like I said its nothing big and they're just starting out, but they're local, and its open to any and all makes/models. We're trying to gauge interest in a possible track rental later this year towards the Fall when it gets a bit cooler.
Here are a few pics from the meet. There are more GT's than anything else, but a lot of people didnt make it. There are a few nice F-bodies too. It'd be awesome if you could make it, I'd like to see a bit more diversity among the group. If not thats cool. Just wanted to throw it out there. I'll be there, a little hung over from the Rob Zombie concert, but it should be a good time.

That 98 Cobra has a little surprise under the hood.
Oh, and theres also a red SS/SC that lives down on the riverfront in Little Rock off Cantrell, I see it everyday at work. Im keeping an eye out, so if I ever run into them, I'll let them know about the site and if they're interested in meeting some more Cobalt owners.

Most of the young mustang owners around here can be real wankers at times. In my area at least, its domestic vs. import, all or nothing. You have your large group of "true ricers", then a large group of F bodies, and then the mustang guys, and then you have the true import guys with WRX's, RX-7s, and 300zx TTs, and what not.
I was riding around with my friend in his 90 300z TT, and a kid in a mustang GT, 99-04 model, bone stock followed us all around Boardman on 224, then down the highway, and kept passing us, then slowing down, then getting beside us and saying ****, and revving his motor, then he pulled into a plaza and came back out as we left a red light and spun it sideways almost into the passenger door of the Z. We just kept driving along at the speed limit.
After all of this, we finally gave him a go, and kicked his ass pretty well. (The Z has a full 3" exhaust, e-manage, HKS intercoolers, and is running about 14-17psi on high boost). After that the kid attempted a few more times to run get us to race again, then finally got bored of it and left us alone.
Anywho, there are a few wankers like I said, but for the most part, all the guys in the area are pretty well. However, as I also stated, there is definite division of the car groups, and there is always a little rivalry going on.

My friend has a 99 V6 Mustang, with flowmaster dual exhaust, CAI. short throw shifter, and a set of decent tires, and his car runs really damn good. I'd call him more confident before cocky.
