my cobalt ss vs. evo 8
ok we are on the pkwy dude rolls up on me his buddy is filming and i got my buddy in my car he like whatcha got ,im like "ehh not to much just some slow ****" the evo says "yeah i got a turboback and a reflash and an intake and a couple of other *****" i was like awesome
we then downshift to second and im like "on three honks we will go" his buddy in the passenger seat starts going ONE TWO THREE and he jumped cause i was like wait didnt we just agree to honks so he got like half a car ahead and the second i got on it i pulled a car and a half almost instantly and by the time i got mid third gear i was 3 cars ahead
i was like w00t
sorry i never really post up my wins but this was a really good one for me

evos really blow unless you're in the right gear... if you're at your ideal rpm the car ******* flys, otherwise its slow lol (anybody watch that episode of top gear where they raced a shitty beat up rental in its top gear and the evo in its top gear and the shitty car rental beat it for the first bit?! lol)

-Similar story with my friend and his balt. He has got upgraded pulleys and a ported supercharger. He raced an MR on the highway, 80-140 roll, and pulled 3-4 cars on it when they shut down. Of course you'd have to factor in the AWD in the top end.

i only know from word of mouth that the reflashes do alot, but nice kill! i hear that stock they can get 288 whp with just a reflash, but of course they are heavier, and i've heard we could get 20whp from just a good tune, but dont you need some injectors with that 2.7?

you dont ever 'need' anything unless the mod is significant enough to warrent it. You can go as low as you want with the pulley within reason but without the support for it all your doing is maxing your car out creating a very bad and scary situation

i really dont care if you guys believe me or not im just happy about my win and thought id boast
ooo and one more thing
it wasnt just 1 run i did 2 runs and both with the same conclusion
when you {1stbluSS} finally get some more mods youll see to and youll run all over them
and i dont like to tell people my mods in the first place thats why i dont have them in my sig and i have a sticker on the side of my car that says stock

trix dude I believe you beat the evo. people just dont want to believe a $20k+ car can beat a 30k+ car. Hell everyone got all bent outa shape when they saw the video of bulldog losing to the evo saying the race should never have taken place. Funny thing is of all the bs that came because of it noone paid attention to the fact that i KNOW both the evo racer and bulldog and the evo racer even said after the race at his place that if he didnt have the flash done to his car the ss with JUST an intake would have put up a much better fight.
