My Cobalt vs. EVO and SRT-4

Last night I was at a car show close to a toll-road here in Houston, Me in the Cobalt and a few of my friends that have an EVO and an SRT-4 and an STi with alot of work done, decided to go see how we run against each other, the EVO and the STi lined up in front of me and the SRT they took off from about a 15mph roll we followed suit. The SRT started to fall behind as I started to gain on the EVO. My friend in the STi was gone, but I ended up passing the EVO. Next the EVO and I line up. Well of course he would kill me off the line, so we did another 15-20mph roll we took off and slowly but surely I pulled away from the EVO. Both the EVO and the SRT have a little work done maybe $500 in parts. But I am bone stock, It was great, I did'nt know my cobalt could go like that.

This is weird, my cobalt with all my parts on a 2.9" pulley couldn't pull on a SRT-4 with just an intake. With the 2.7 i did pull on him pretty good.

I would like to see a video of this, might be a factory freak, or BS

Don't eat anymore of whatever you had last night before going to sleep. It clearly induces absurd dream sequences.

Your friends should not own $30,000 cars with 300hp and not be able to drive them correctly.

well, I dont know about this one. If the EVO owner was clueless as how to properly mod his car, then possibly. A few of the wrong mods and anything can happen. Check this out. My buddy owns a silver evo(like mine) and when I first drove it, there was something wrong as far as power. I looked under his hood and... his boost solenoid was connected backwards!!!(he bought it used) He was only boosting 12psi(tapering to 10=wastegate setting from factory). He was loosing approx 40-50 hp!!! So, yes this could have happened, but no if he spent $500 wisely.
