Today (friday), I was heading into work for a meeting. As I was leaving my subdivision there was this early 2000'ish Civic SI in front of me. He turns right and I turn right we head on down 238 towards St Rd. 37. We both end up turning left onto 37. Heres how it went. He turned first and pulled inot the right lane. I had to wait on a truck with trailer to turn onto the same street. The truck pulled in behind the Honda. I turned and knew that he wanted to race (was hanging back, not accelerating fast). Well as soon as I pulled on to the road I gunned it ( note-- he was about 3 car lengths infront of me). By the time I got even with him, I heard him down **** and heard his engin just redline. I was able to pull 1 car lenght on him and keep it. I keept a close I on him and the trafic comming in the other direction (cops!), thank god none. When I noticed him backing off I looked at my Speedo 105 !!! I think the closest he got was right on my rear bumber.


Now I would have more than likely lost if I had raced him from a slow roll or a 3 horn start. But I was in a hurry to get to my meeting.

Ohh and the meeting I went to I found out that ALL Dept Mgrs at Lowes are going to hourly insted of salary. So I am going to be losing over $300.00 or more a month!
