Wow ... that's all I have to say. What a Fun night... I'll let the many videos do most of the talking.

Local group was out for a night of terror. 50* weather. How nice!

1st race of the night. A Buddy of mine with a 299awhp Evo IX MR. he is by himself... and I had a 280lbs guy in my car ( I tried like hell to get rid of him!) For those of you who said it wasn't possible for an SS to beat a Modified Evo:

He missed 4th, so he fell back at the end. We'll probably run them again Saturday.


Well, we all meet back up and I finally get to see My friend's new car... Veddy nice! He traded his Stage 3 SRT-4 in for an Evo VIII. No sense trying to stop the inevitable... we went at it twice. He dyno'd 316awhp... once again... 300lbs guy in my car.

NEXT! I drop off the big guy and pick up my G/F... Yay! 130lbs FTW! I am driving and I see an SRT with Cuda graphics... Guess who's in town? The Stage 2 w/ Cams SRT-4 that called me out a while back, but then it snowed. We meet up... Natural Selection takes place. We did A LOT of runs. I was having fun! He Dyno'd 280whp. For those of you who said "BUS LENGTHS"... enjoy:

And then I ran a 240... SR20 Swap.

Overall a very fun night! The real camera (As seen in the Stage 3 SRT vs VF23 WRX video on my MySpace) will be out tomorrow. It handles the night time a lot better. Someones G/F left it on in the car a few nights ago . ENJOY!

I dunno... to run pretty much side by side with the SRT... I'm gonna have to guess ~280whp. That's what he has dyno'd at. If only 1st gear didn't suck so bad those 20 rolls would have been a lot closer.

Me too! I might get another Evo IX race today... hopefully during daylight.

Evo IX MR: He pulls right away, putting me at his rear bumper... but has to shift (6-Speed) while I am @ 5k so I pull it all back. We're side by side through the bottom of third and I start to inch away through the top of third. And then he misses 4th and falls back.

Evo VIII - Race 1: He pulls right away as well. Putting 1 on me... and continues to pull. Has 2 1/2 to 3 on me by the time I shift to 4th.

Evo VIII - Race 2: Same as above... only he gets me by 2 to 2 1/2 cars.

SRT- Race 1 - 35 roll: He pulls right away, putting his tail lights at my side view mirror. 2nd gear keeps him there. Shift to third and I start to inch forward. He shifts and I put his front bumper at my door handle. He slowly creeps up... and has his front bumper at my side mirror when we have to let off.

SRT - Race 2 - 20 roll: He pulls pretty hard in first, Putting 1 1/2 to 2 on me. It stays that way.

SRT - Race 3 - 45 roll: Side by Side. Top of HIS 2nd gear he pulls a few inches. He does the same with the Top of his 3rd. End of race I am at his rear bumper.

SRT - Race 4 - 20 roll: Same as first 20 roll... only I get better launch and it is closer. he still gets me by a car and a half.

240 - 35 Roll: Side by side till he shifts to 3rd... then he starts to pull. Finish at top of third with me at his rear bumper.

240 - DIG!!!: He rips out of the Hole and eats my non-traction ass by like 4.

I'm not bashing, but you don't have near 280whp. I dyno'd 244 with pretty much the same as you.

Maybe I have a super car. You have an explanation as to how i stayed pretty much side by side with a 280whp SRT? Maybe god miracled my ass up there.

Do you have an explanation on how I can pull 1 car on a 300whp trans am? Doubt it, but anything happens on the street.

I wasn't raining on your parade either I only informed you of not having 280whp.

 

No... he's a good driver... all but the Evo IX driver were very good drivers.

Yeah... weight is how you pulled on a Trans Am.

It's no big deal... 280 or not... it's gonna go up here real soon... and I'll have a before & after dyno done. So we'll all know soon enough.

 

Great runs against the evo and srt. One minor point is to maybe brush up on you're launches. That was pretty bad

 

you beat the evo because you raced it from a roll. AWD's strong point is a dig. i'm not surprised at all you beat it from a roll. should have run them from a dig & rolls since they were all planned races apparently.

 

Yeah... I usually launch pretty good. I think my tires are getting close to bald though. I need to rotate them.

Of course it would own me from a dig... duh. An 8 year old could tell me that.

There's always someone, just like you, that can't just say Nice Races... always someone who has to ruin the party for everyone . When I beat the IX the first time, when he was stock... all I heard on here was... "Just wait till he gets some mods done... then he'll own you." How about a simple "Nice Races".

Besides... they both wanted to roll race.

 

The 240SX SR20DET powered? or was it a turbo KA24? Those SR's are really great engines can make 300+hp easy. Makes me want to fix mine up right....

 

i do say nice races, just not to you. you seem to go on the defense whenever someone doesn't kiss your feet about your races. it's obvious you had nice races, you actually had proof of the wins. are you really that insecure that you need assurance from every person here that you had good races?

i said you should have gone from both a dig and a roll. it woulda been more interesting to see how you fared from both rather than 3 or 4 races from the same roll.

you had a bunch of good runs! did well against that 240sx like i said the sr20's are bad. hopefully i will be as lucky if anyone tries to run me.

No offense but going from a dig against a evo is a waste of time, your going to get killed no matter what.

 

Exactly why we didn't do it. And the SRT and I didn't do it because he didn't wanna Snap an Axle.

 

Nice races man. That 240 sounded great, what exhaust does he have? I need a video camera, I have this feeling I'll be faster now. I sent a datalog to my tuner and found that overall, I was 45% rich. 25% long term and 20% short term. No wonder I only get 12 mpg!

 

going from a dig would have shown you just exactly how much more you had to do to your car to keep pace. great way to see the progress of how your car is doing with each new mod too. especially when the nearest track is quite a hike away and you can't go every weekend.
