playing chicken
playing chicken
so umm i guess you can say i was playing chicken with a semi with a fuel load. i was traveling on a very narrow and twisty road, did i mention snow and ice. i came to this twisty hill and was doing about 110km/hr. along comes this huge truck from the top who decide he was the king of the road. this hill was pretty big. anyways we barreled towards on another freaking out and triing to gain control both of us braking and turning. we finally came to a split decision which lead me to the rock snowy ditch. i am talking like inches with this trucks bumber and my face. to say i went into the ditch triing to stop when i did i came inches from hitting a rock wall. well i got out expecting the worst for damages. got the shovel out and started digging. along comes a guy in a f350 and said, "i heard you got knocked off the road, that's what the guy in the semi said. you should get a radio in your car so these guys don't surprise you." so anyways he was able to pull me out and i was on my way. when i got to a pull off i examined the car nothing brocken no cracks no nothing but a scrape on the oil pan, my guess that me hitting the ditch with snow saved my car from being a hard hit. good suspenion. although after the holidays probably take it in for some one to examine my suspension but nothing feels loose. anything i should maybe look out for, damage? funny though i haven't drive'in a standard long first one but i was able to control my car very well in a panic, surprised myself i did everything instinctively. to say though i learn't semis are big road hogs well some of them. the seat belts lock good but hard to release if stuck try to move the seat back all the way and they will come loose. and umm yeah watch those ******* corners you may never know.
Maybe not the truck drivers fault. Their brakes get EXTREMELY hot on long hill descents and they cannot always slow down enough to make their turns. It happens.
Good to hear that you and your cobalt are unscathed.

well i guess i should also say that these guys drive on these roads all the time you would think they would have the common sense to stay on there side when coming around a down hill incline but he was nice radio me in, it was frickin cold. but dam was that freaky seeing a bumber wizz buy like that. h
