Trust me. I've driven s/c's (I'm assuming that's what you've got), as well as SRT-8 cars. SRT-8's are monsters. He wasn't racing. You have nothing on that car. Sorry. lol.

I really think you guys have some poor impressions on the charger... They are decently quick but nowhere near monsters. A modded ss/sc from a roll will give it a decent run.

My view-point is not an "impression". I've actually driven the car. I don't take my information from Motor Trend. I get it from experience. Thanks.

Not saying that's not the case, but straight up stock, no chance. That's how I drive the cars I do. They're always stock. Hell, my friends CRX can beat anyone around here (and has). Those things aren't fast stock. But neither is a B16 with 20+ psi either.. I have no doubt that these Cobalt SS's are very quick, but it's not like we're driving a Ferrari or anything.. I'd rather have the SRT-8, myself. I'd have a GTO right now if insurance wasn't insane on it..

I'm not being a jackass. I'm just saying that these things are much faster than these people are giving it credit for.

The other day, I was heading back to work from lunch and at the light a yellow SRT-8 Charger Hemi, with a black racing stripe came up and Rev'd. Light turned green and we took off, all i could hear was the roar coming from the Hemi, he got about 2 car lengths. Those cars are very fast and have attitude but I look at it this way. It takes 8 to get 2 car length of a 4? haha, I still have respect for the Hemi, no doubt. I love my TC though.

How long was the race to? Hell I can pull 2+ cars on some from 40-60. Though that seems alot of time in reality its a split second. Not to mention your getting a bigger car with alot of nicer and more expensive parts than a Cobalt. Knowing a 4 door "family car" can do that is pretty impressive. On top of all that they resond to mods pretty well and don't get me started about nitrous.

The race was not that very long, from one light to another, about 600 yards. It was from a dead stop. Nitrous is definitely something that doesn't and never interest me. The car is a beauty though and I didn't get butthurt that I got beat, respect the Hemi.

Alot of nicer and more expensive parts? Are we talking about the same car? A dodge... cmon.
I know our cars are cheap but they are priced accordingly.. Any car I've seen on a dodge lot is cheap throughout with a price tag that does NOT reflect it.

What’s your point about the C&D? Do some looking dude its all over the internet and I have some very reliable sources. The production has been stopped on the ZR1 and it very well might be indefinitely.

Uhh 600yards is over a 1/4 mile dude. What speed was the race too 0-???

HAHA You’re knocking Dodge (Chrysler) when they are really the only American auto company making money, at least they were before all hell broke loose. Maybe a normal Dodge is nothing to call home about but the SRTs are nice cars. They have nice interiors and ride well and have killer brakes too.
