POS Charger SRT-8
^ F ing balsa wood pieces of crap (zo6 and zr1). How can you beat a car thats made out of wood. not fair... which is why i want one, cammed with header back, intake, and a tune and call it a day (c6 zo6)
They were being made and there a prolly a few 100 of them out already. They have just halted production of them for now and possibly for good.
Actually, yes, nicer parts, that do cost more. A fully independent rear suspension, two 8 way power seats wrapped in very nice leather, a five speed autostick transmission, brembo brakes all around, full auto dual zone climate control with vents to the back seat, integrated nav and bluetooth. I actually defy anyone to actually take a ride in one, and then honestly say its a POS, or cheap.

I nowhere talked of inferior mechanical quality, I talked of interior which in fact is terrible.
Please let this thread die! STOP BUMPING IT PEOPLE
Get as good of a driver in an SRT-8 Charger as the stage 2 SS/SC, and the SS/SC has no chance. They are low 13's on average and have dipped into the 12's numerous times.
just for clarification im talking about ricer roll racing. lol

Older guy that I talk to at the track sometimes runs 13.8-13.9 @ 98-101 depending on the weather, all the time in an SRT8 charger.
Does he need driver mod? Probably does, but the point is its quite possible he beat him because some people just can't/won't drive their cars properly when they race, and the result is they lose to cars they shouldn't.

How old are you 17?
So, how do you know how they feel, what experience do you personally have with them? Did you sit in one?
Yes sir. Buddy owns one and I'm around multiple every weekend here in town. Feel very cheap, just like my car. Thing is my car was priced accordingly...
This sounds familiar... think I've already said this once.

Just not sure what you mean by "feels cheap". Seating that flexes, switches that sound or feel weak? Doors that are light and sound hollow when closed? Noise intrusion into the car? Usually a cheap feel is driven by those things. Like the 1980s and early 90s GM turn signal stalk, which they finally fixed a few years back. For quite a while, that piece was synonymous with cheap feel. Damn thing felt like it was going to snap off every time you used it.
Since almost all of the switchgear in the LX cars, and the steering column and its associated controls were lifted right from the last gen E-class Mercedes, as was the door hinge design, its hard to see how they could feel cheap. Of course, feel is an opinion, like styling, but I wonder what cars you would think dont feel cheap.

Yes they are heavy but don't let that be your deciding factor. I saw an SRT8 charger at silver dollar raceway less than a month ago.
13.01, forgot the trap. All he has was intake, magnaflow catback and a tune.
He pulled off a 12.28 with a 150 shot of nitrous and suprised the hell out of a vette!

As for the Charger SRT-8...
I have personally raced a Challenger SRT-8 and although from a dig he had me...from a roll it was a dead heat.
I'd like to see that same car keep up with me on US129 or at a track day event...it would be a complete slaughter...
