yea and i'm not sayin get out and street race every chance u get but why sit and critisize someone over and over.. it's not goin to do anytihng what do u expect to get out of it.. what ur sayin is that it isnt safe.. and we all already know that and if someone doesnt know they deserve what they get.

why sit and critisize someone over and over..

because people deserve to be critisized for criminal, dangerous behaviour.

it's not goin to do anytihng

yes it is, yes it will, yes it already has.

what do u expect to get out of it..

The few who have a brain left in their heads, will grow up.

what ur sayin is that it isnt safe.. and we all already know that and if someone doesnt know they deserve what they get.

agreed. but does the poor lady crossing a sidestreet deserve it too?

Its not that Im indifferent, its that Im not the person who determines how others act. Im not the one who can control who street races and who doesnt. I could speak until I was blue in the face about the dangers of street racing, but, as we all know, opinions dont change because of internet forums. So being a parent to people who dont want or need you to be their parent is useless. Just stay away from the threads you know will anger you, or make you want to be someones parent.

Also, Boondock Saints is a bad ass movie

Something else to think about is that not only do you face the possibility of hurting others and yourself, but also destroying the car that I know you love so much. This is a possibility at the track too, but it is less likely to happen on the track (controlled conditions). I have street raced in the past, but me and others on this forum are just trying to help keep you from making a big mistake.

Couple nights ago, if you really want to know, not that it has absolutely anythign to do with the topic at hand.. I'm entitled to my opinion just like everyone else is and I can post it wherever I want. Don't like it, don't read it. Street racing bugs me because I've personally been affected by it, so I don't really give a **** what excuses people want to give for why it's OK or why I shouldn't post here. Again, I'm going to. Get the **** over it.

Ya know, I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was isolated. If the people racing were the only ones involved, have at it. If you die doing it, no skin off my back. Same with drunk drivers - they want to eliminate themselves from the gene pool, that's great. It's the fact that people are too short sighted to really give a **** about what happens to other people.

The thing about a track is, EVERYONE present knows, accepts, and has agreed to the element of risk. Whether you're racing or sitting around watching or WHATEVER. When you take it out on the street, you're not giving anyone else a choice whether they want to accept the risks that you're creating.

Nope, thanks. I happen to have a very personal opinion on the matter and telling me to shove it isn't going to make me change a goddamn thing.

It sucks to think that we could lose someone on the forum because they decided to be a 4 wheeled squid.

Most of these people don't ride at all and have no real idea what it's like to see someone close to you in a pile of person with wreckage all around them.

But everyone says "ride? we are talking cars here..."

Accidents happen more on bikes...and riding has really opened my eyes.

Has it stopped me completely?

No but the seeds have been soughed unfortunately and I hope to never have to deal with any of that again and was very fortunate it was not me...

anomalous. i told u before i agreed with some of the things you say but I honestly think you guys critisizing and being ******** isn't going to do anything except **** people off. To me, anyone with a brain knows the consequences but they have to set limits for themselves; being an ******* isnt going to make anyone stop doing it. I believe if you're pretty much on an open road it's not that big of a deal or if your on a highway and ur just doin a quick roll race while there isnt much traffic just dont be a *******. I'd definately hope someone wouldnt be dumb enough to race where there is intersections where an old lady would be crossing across the road.

have a look at the post above yours.

you would be quite surprised how many people do start to seriously think about it.

I have recieved a good number of PMs over the years that say you are wrong.

and while-ever i can make a difference, and keep kids making the right decision....ill continue to be an ******* about street racing

Im willing to take this kind of heat, this bickering, for the sake of possibly saving one of your lives by making you mature a little earlier.

when you grow up....youll understand.

I must say I agree with what a lot of people are saying on this whole subject, I see both sides. Yes the kid was just telling a story, I do think he got a little carried away with the speed, In my "street racing" history, once I blow by someone once at any speed it shows me I can beat them and thats all I need. I like to go fast just like the next guy, I know the consequences that can happen because of it. I do think speeds over 100-110 belong on the track, I've topped my s-10 out numerous times on an open highway. But I dont think everyone getting in fights over the story and over stupid **** is helping anything. Some thought it was a sweet story, some thought it was stupid to go that fast; well theres always two sides to it so get over it, and understand that not everyone will see it just like you do. congrats on the win, but I think the first time you blew by him you were good, that's just me. Anom keep speaking what you're speaking cuz I'm sure it's helping a few people out there.
