so today i met up with my buddy who has a 93 rx-7. he just got it out of the shop becase he wrecked it a while back. so any ways he bought some 4000 doller kit for it that is sposed to give 350 to 400 hp. it came with bigger intercooler and computer stuff intake tubing some other things. so he asked me if i wanted to race him and i said sure. so we went out to the dual highway witch is a long strech of road that pepople race on and we went from 40 mph roll and i pulled on him till he went to go to third gear and he missed it. so we slowed back down to about 40 again and this time he took off before me and he really went good i couldnet catch him. so on run three we decided to honk and go on the thrid honk. SO taht we did and i started to pull on him and then he hit 3 rd before i did and he started to pull back up to me then i hit third and got back about 2 car lengths on him and then we let off. now i know every one is going to be like bull **** but i forgot to mention earler that he just got it out of the shop and is not tuned yet. they have to buy some other chip for it and program it and tune it but to still beat him i though was decent. but i love them rx7-7 the sound is awsome.

Sounds like he really needs a tune, or is BSing you with the numbers. Either way, congrats on the kill.

no he is not bsing on the numbers he showed me the specs on the kit and the photes and i aslo looked under the hood but like i said he needs to tune it.

something has got to be wrong with the rx7 or he cant drive well and wasnt taking advantage of his high rpm's (if stick) I have raced my friends 94 RX7 Twin Turbo R2 and I used to beat him barley b4 I taught him how to drive once.. but as soon as he learned he would beat me all the time.. and we even switched cars and I beat my Cobalt SS betetr than he beat me while I was driving it.. His mods we only a turbo back echaust.. So he is around 270 hp and it screws.. I have a Fujita CAI now and I have raced him once.. I do keep a lot closer with it now than I did I noticed.. but deffinetly not enough to beat it... hopefully Il be able to beat it or hang with it when I get Stage 2.. well see
