Thumbs down s2 ss/sc vs rsx type s

zzp s2 air box mod full interior + 1 passenger
rsx type s - bcrh/intake/exhaust/cams/kpro gutted rear seats and spare.

1 dig 3 rolls.
(my idea) dig: bogged on launch lost by 1 car

15 roll: 50% 1st gear boost reduction he pulled 1 car. i banged 2nd gear and gained half car and it stayed that way. he won by half car

40 roll: i won by 1 car

45 roll (he's now in VTAK!!!): with powershifting i won by 1 and half cars.

Cammed I'd expect a bit better, but good runs. I guess the K series doesn't respond well to them.

i've seen all motor k20's run low 13's on street tires. i guess it depends on where your at and the driver of course. i.e. elevation, humidity, temp... i think the k20 is better than the LS Junior. you throw a supercharger on the k20 its a nasty car

Im a cobalt guy myself and I can honestly say the K20 is the better motor. They are just very impressive motors and actually produce torque unlike most honda motors.

yeah but it isnt nasty until they get that supercharger, and by then they've spent tons of money.
my neighbor has a k20 civic, ive raced him with my cobalt and my srt, he's always modding his car, he's never beat me and he's spent easily twice as much money as i have. aaaand his can only handle like 11psi before it goes pop.

LSJ would make 150hp without the blower. K20 is just a beast N/A

ive beat and lost to a couple of k20's.... all i can say is.... hondas are not fast cuz they got badass motors.... they r fast cuz how light they make em.... 2 k20's ive lost to have been swapped into a eg and ek and both gutted.... one on bottle, and one with i, H, E, cams, kpro tuned for e-85.... the one on n2o i beat off bottle.... both were fast cars but weigh about 2500 with driver.... make a balt 2500lbs with a lightly modified lsj and see wut happens!!

There have been a handful of people pull off a swap with K24 block and K20 head, its pretty nasty.

and forget K20 SC, the Turbo'd K20s are nasty. Seen a 2001 Integra with a Turbo'd K20 swap, quiet as hell, walk off and left a brand new Z06 on the highway.

RSX suspension isnt setup well for drag racing though, from a dig, its easy to start to pull on them once they start putting power down.
