Tonight i raced a Mazda Speed3 and he smocked the **** out of me twice. We did 2 ROLLS from 60 to about 100 on the FWY . He jump a car right away until he put 2 cars lengths on me N he stop!!! Those things aint no joke. pretty fast. I Feel MUCH BETTER NOW Because i shared this with you guys!

 

I ran one a few weeks ago. 30 rolls. We were neck and neck. We couldn't pull on eachother.

 

with a few mods you can beat them pretty easy

 

you did a roll race that is perfect for those cars. hence why you lost.

 

yeah, my dad's 09 feels pretty quick, but not quick enough to crap on a stage 2 balt... if the speed was stock that is.

 

I raced my buddies who has an exhaust on it and i couldnt count the busses i put on it lol.

 

Well something is wrong here cause i didnt stand a chance on beating him. I do have a stage 2 with a 2.9 pully. I do have to say the both races were kind of a 30 angle uphill.

 

i ran one with alot of mods...but we hung cuz it was a fat ass guy driving it haha

 

the guy with the HHR is tuned

the MS3 takes very well to Mods

but the only company that has cracked the ECU on the car for a tune is COBB

the access port for them makes them push some nice numbers, but those cars are def sleepers right now.

once fully unlocked. watch it.

but yeah stage 2 balts usually cant hang with them. epseically with good driver in the MS3.

Thats weird, when I was stage 2, 2.9, intake and catback I put about 4 cars on my friend's from 30-120 and about 2-3 from a dig to 100. I beat another one from a dig to 100 stock too but he had just gotten the car and it was his first manual.

 

From the 60mph roll did you start in 2nd or 3rd?

I've ran one with 3" exhaust, FMIC, Tune. He pulled half a car on me cause I missed the honk...after that I stayed right with him. They are fast though.

 

i beat a dp, intake, intercooler, and forged motor by 1car from 40-110.

 

a good friend of mine has one and i had him everytime when i was supercharged and i beat him, driver mod maybe

 

never really thought they were very fast. very disappointed in them

 

well lets not start killing them, they are very quick and i promise you it would def be a good race between a STOCK one and a stage 2 balt. the power comes on great and it feels really quick, it had you wanting to just keep your foot to the floor. a intake full exhaust tune will net you over 300whp easily just like the ss/sc. on the speed has 6 gears and has been out for much longer. there just arent as many tuners in the game for a speed3 i think.

 

i was talkin to a speed3 owner and they said there really is no tune out for the car. the ecu overides it. no1s cracked it yet i guess.

 

cobb has. its a handheld you can order or you can go to the shop and get a crazy custom tune. my buddy is pushing 18 psi, upgrade front mount intercooler and a massive intake where the old intercooler was, turbo manifold and full exhaust. I know he was over 350 whp. thats pretty impressive if you ask me. he told me one of his speed3 friends that ive never met is doing a 35r build very soon, and that was 3 or 4 months ago so it may be done. we go to different colleges so we dont get to meet up as much.

 

im just saying wat i was told. and those cobb tunes arent the best......

 

and how do you know cobb tunes arent the best? im not trying to be an ass but im just saying i could come back to you and say 42lb injectors arent the best, go 60lb. but look, your 42lbers get the job done and im sure you still beat most cars.

a lot of ppl dont know what they are talking about; you need to realize that. ive met numerous cobalt owners that have left me asking if they have ever actually seen, read, or talked to someone who remotely knows about cars. its not just cobalts though is my point. whatever, i dont mean to start anything, im just talking with you.

 

last month Cobb came out with the AccessTuner Pro. you can make custom tunes on it. it also has no lift shifting and launch contol. i doubt many people have it yet. but more stuff is coming out.

it says your stage 2 how did he pull away? and those cars arent roll racing cars, theyre set up for digs... i watched a ss/tc run a bolt on ms3 from a dig and roll... a roll we all know who won badly the t/c did but from a dig the ms3 would put a car on the t/c until the t/c got full boost than it was over... t/c pwnnnned
