So Simply Clean was going on near me so I went to check it out. Then afterwards went trolling I95 for some races. Well unfortunately it looks like most of them were going south back to Orlando and I was going north to Jax... But I did happen across a modded Focus ST, well at least visually modded, not sure what else was done to it.

So I see him coming, I tell my friend "I'm gonna troll this dude and see if he takes the bait". As he came up next to me I pulled the old Z down into 4th and gave it a little gas to get his attention.

He pulls his down a few gears and slows up, I match his speed in 3rd. He starts to brake boost, so I load my engine up ever so slightly to give the same appearance, I can't let it spool or it will give away the big surprise. The "race" begins with him jumping out a little as I go WOT. The 6262 spools up, and lets just say that is not a quiet thing, I come blasting by the poor guy. He has a look of utter disbelief and he just lets up. So I let off the SSQV blasts its giant chirp of victory.

He pulls back up next to me shaking his head and says "dude that thing sounds amazing!" threw me a thumbs up and we parted ways.

Wasn't a bad looking ST either.

 

Lol I gave one of those the business in my turbo tercel, he was pretty cocky before the run. Made him look pretty sillly.

 

They really aren't bad looking cars. It is to bad they most of the owners think they are hot stuff.

The Z31 was always turbo. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger turbos lol. You might be thinking the 350Z which was unfortunately totaled by a deer back in June.

Nice car, what kind of numbers does it make?

 

No idea on this engine. Haven't taken it to the dyno yet. My old engine was making right at 400whp, this should be able to beat that easily

How does the other bank wrap around?

 

She is the perfect sleeper.

The driver's manifold is actually divided, the passenger side goes into a cross over that goes over the bell housing and into the rear banks of the driver's manifold. The driver's side cylinders use the front banks. My waste gate is tapping into both separate banks.

Eventually I'll turn up the boost. Right now at 15psi it is faster than it ever was. I can't keep the tires planted, 1st and 2nd gear are pretty much useless. I'm planning up upping the boost to 20-22psi when it is all said and done though. Should be stupid.
