SS S/C vs Chrysler 300C

it was fun...and i was actually surprised at the outcome
Keep in mind this is the SRT-8 V8, 6.1, 425 hp Hemi
(car also weighs like 4160 lbs)
first race from 30....surprisingly i was ahead by about half of a car until about 105 mph
the excuse was that he was in regular drive (instead of the "slap shift" thing they have)and there was a delay i guess...
any way the next 2 races from 20-30 mph rolls i got smoked by about a cars length maybe a little bit more...it was pretty close tho...it was fun
basically my SS always got the jump, but the 300 just slowly pulls away every time
*All races were performed on a closed track*

that car is insane.. i didnt realize what it had under the hood until after i looked it up.
that car is supposed to push like high 13's...this shouldnt turn into a flame war. he clearly beat me once he started shifting his car manually.
i can still hear that nasty V8 Ripping past me

Those cars are hands down badass, we just got one for our showroom, got to rip it around the block, all I can say is amazing. Even the 5.7 hemi's in the 300C's are impressive, but the SRT-8 6.1 is just rediculous

im gonna call bs on the SRT8. Those are high 12 second cars and hand alot of stock ls1's their asses...i dont care how much the freakin car weighs, its power to wieght ratio is alot better than yours. I think you ran a NON-SRT 5.7L version, those run similar times to the Cobaltss. If it were an SRT8, he wouldnt have just walked you, he would have RAPED you.

i could be mistaken...i thought all 300 C's were SRT8's
im just not too farmiliar with chrysler
so the car might have been a regular 300C
cus it was a decently close race. they are insane cars inside and out though

the 300C is the same as the Charger RT, and then the SRT is the same on both models, but the SRT is the top trim. The C and RT are just 5.7L 350HP, where the SRT ist he 6.1L 425 HP.

SRT-8 > 300C > SS/SC > Charger R/T Daytona

The 300C > SS/SC > Charger R/T Daytona comes from personal experience. Obviously the SRT-8 is greater than all.

Before people start posting "The Charger R/T is the same as the 300C" they are not. They do share the same drivetrain, although the Charger R/T Daytona is tweaked to 350hp, they are similar in weight, but they are not the same.

I have seen several accounts of SS/SCs and Redlines beating Charger R/Ts, but have not seen any of them beating 300Cs. Again this goes along with what I have experienced personally in my stock '05 SS/SC

From what I understand, the C and the RT are both 5.7L 340hp. Only the RT Daytona has 5.7L 350hp - It has a less restrictive intake and exhaust for the 10 extra ponies.

It doesn't make sense, but I have edged out a Charger RT Daytona twice and have been edged out by a 300C once. I've yet to see an account on either the Cobalt or the Redline forums of an SS/SC beating a 300C, but I have seen several stories of beating Chargers.

Maybe your typical 300C driver is less likely to do something as immature as race unlike the Charger drivers I have encountered who seem to always be on the hunt.

SS/SCs and Redlines are essentially the same car, yet race them and you'll rarely end up with a tie. It comes down to each car being different and of course the driver. Maybe our SS/SCs and Redlines are so close (performance wise) to the 300C and Charger RT that it all comes down to driver and the slight variations from car to car.

Ding Ding Ding...we have a winner.

The two cars are exactly the same, thus if you beat one you will beat the other...unless you mess up driving as they are only available in automatics. Lastly either one could be modded or not..but the two cars are essential the exact same, down to the fake hemi wanna be engine.

when I went to the track with bulldog and cobalt supercharged we didn't see one hit 12's or anywhere near that range (fastest I saw was a 13.9~) and one had a sticker or something that said 11's ... had a nice paint job though

He said it was probably the 5.7 300c. I remember racing the magnum r/t. He beat me by a car length and that was with my exhaust. So yeah, i must get more mods.
