SS S/C vs. GTO
last night me and my buddies went down to division st to see what was goin on. were there for bout 15 - 20 minutes and this dude in this yellow gto wants to see some cobalts race so he walks up to my car and yells out "whos car is this". so i go and talk to him and he wants to race me and all that so i said why not. im a little nervous cuz ive had this carfor 2 weeks now and its my first stick and ive never raced anybody before. so we line up and i rev it to about 2 grand and we take off. he got a good jump on me but i kept up with him. then shifting into second i fucked up but i was still right next to him. goin into third i was gainin on him but he got me. my front tire was right in front of his back tire thats how close it was. for my first race expecially againts a gto i thought i did pretty damn good.

you missed 2nd and still were a tire back , was he racing , also what year gto cause if it was the 6 liter i call bullshit , hell even the 5.7 should walk a stock cobalt ss/sc

i didnt miss second i just didnt get a perfect shift...and i dont know what year but the guy told me he went all out on me, so maybe hes just a shitty driver...and i told him im not that good yet and he said thats cool just try my best

ya i know, after the race when we came back everyone was all surprised and was like holy **** those cobalts have more ***** then i thought, i still had my adrenaline rush goin so i just had a huge smile on my face and was laughin

and the reason is that they dont think about having trouble launching. whereas that ALWAYS crosses our minds when racing.

1 exhaust pipe or 2? Still don't see a Stock SS/SC with a newbie driver hanging with an obvious 5.7L GTO. He must have sucked at life... that happens.
This video is our very own HATRICKSTU... he is a very good driver as well. You can probably PM him and ask him about the race if you want.

Exactly, launching a rwd car takes no skill. Just drop the clutch, and poof GONE. However those Cobalts have a very strong top end. Especially third gear, no way a GTO is beating one from a roll.

Ya so i guess your proud of your 400hp boat, **** LS1 Z'S AND T/A'S make a joke of ls2 goats, my frieds stage 2 srt-4 beat a headers/exhaust LS2 by 3 cars..........be proud, and my redline made a joke of an LS1 goat at the track, hmmmm i love seeing them run mid 14's all night long. And you did not trap 110 stock in your GTO, i would love to see proof of those times.
