SS/SC GM Stage 2 ONLY vs 2008 SS/TC
You definitely need to test your rev limiter... as USMCFieldMP stated already; if you cannot rev to 7k you got jipped.
You are basically asking how a 350-400whp Cobalt stacks up to a 240whp (295whp if tuned well) Cobalt.
Don't be a Puss. I've revved mine to 7k just about everyday for the last 2 years without a single motor problem.
And just because the dealership INSTALLED your Stg2... doesn't mean that they Flashed the tune onto it. I have heard many many many stories of Dealerships forgetting to flash the tune onto the car.
If your car doesn't rev to 7k... then you got jipped.

Eh not yet. It's still too new. It only has 4,300 miles on it. I don't want to hack it up yet. STS kit will go on summer 2010. Z06 comes first.
It'll be a drivers race.
It'll be a drivers race.

she revs past wht the stock does, i jus dont ever rember seein 75 on the dash, maybe 70, im gonna try it out and see exactly what it rreads at rev limiter, maybe it does, but the only time i take iot to extremes before the limiter is when i need it wile racing, it has enough torque to shift it a little early an still be good, i ws drivin today and wnted to try it, but forgot 2
tested it today, i get 68-69 before it whaps rev limiter at 6900 rpm, it will hit the 7k, and70, but its bouncin the limiter,
that seems about right and since the ss/sc should have been stg 2 stock there isnt really much difference from a roll it will be a drivers race and from a dig the advantage will go to the TC due to luanch controll but it still has potential to be a very close race add an intake and exhaust to the SC and it will probly walk the TC from a roll and be a really close race from a dig

Maybe a little late but here are the numbers for our tranny:

well from what i had heard luanch controll was pretty good but i have no experience with it so i was just going off what i heard. but if you are better off launching normaly then it will really come down to the driver especially w/ the amount of tourqe put down by the TC @ just 2000 rpm. either way stg2 vs stock is a drivers race with the advantage to the TC

Which trans is that, you have 6 gears, with a 4.04 final drive... I thought the LNF used a 3.82 or so final??
