ss/sc vs 07 stang

guy on my softball team has been talking **** about my ss ever since i got it and how he could beat it and blah blah blah. So the other night when we left the ball field told him to put up or shut up so we ended up on the interstate with no cars around. We went from a 35 roll 3x and i beat him by 2-3 cars everytime. He was stock. My mods are megan exhaust and injen intake.
I was surprised to say the least but good kill to shut him up none the less

you must have more mods than that .. the 07 GT isn't THAT slow.

even the 07 GT should be good for high 13's or low 14's in the 1/4.

was it an auto with a shitty driver?

A good driver in a 3v is a mid 13 second car at 102-104 mph(hell even MT got 13.5 @ 104, we know mag times aren't the end all be all fastest times either), a stock LSJ would be seeing tail lights or a stock LNF from a dig.

hell, i think a stock 3v vs a stock lnf is a drivers race from a roll.

good kill, but you beat the driver. Im guessing he started in 3rd if it was a manual.

i think it was a v6 it was the first night he had actually driven the car to the field still had 30 day tags on it. It was a 5spd thought. All i know is i won and i was happy to shut him up.

Both the auto and manual are 5spds.

Leaves it in drive and just mashes the gas. Don't know Mustangs but most autos usually never down shift as far as they can so shifting the gears manually usually works better.

driver has a shitty reaction time

driver doesn't know how to feather the gas to get good traction off the line

from a roll, driver doesn't know the cars powerband and which gear is the best to take off from (car doesn't automatically select the right gear because of the speed/rpm)

pick one. haha

Yep...thats why you always run a non-stalled auto ls1 from a 40 roll. Too high of rpm to shift down, too low to be directly in a use able power band.
