SS/SC vs 300/50Z Turbo
SS/SC vs 300/50Z Turbo
I was on my way home from work this afternoon... just cruising down I-20 at about 75MPH, when out of no where this Nissan 300/50Z Turbo jets by me. He slowed down and got into my lane. I saw the back of the car, thats how I know what make the car was, but the model I cant remember whether is was a 300 or 350Z. It was a older body style though with Turbo.
Anyways, he slowed down and got into my lane. Then he reved a few times, jumping his car forward and back. He then switched lanes and got behind me, but in the nest lane over. There was no one, I mean, NO ONE on the highway but us. It was bad ass. So, I got situated in the seat, and then boom... he drops it and floors it. I know this because I could hear the engine roar. I then dropped it into 3rd going about 75MPH. He got about a 1/2 a car on me before I shifted. The SS/SC damn near gave me whip-lash. It lurched forward. I got even with him before he got passed me. I could hear his engine roaring with power, BOV giving an awesome presence. But my SS/SC, you could be deafened by the whine of the supercharger. We got going about 100 or so, give or take a few MPH, then shifted to 4th. By this time, I have about 1/2 a car on him. We kept going and going and going. I wasnt going to be the one to let off first. We were doing about 115 when I heard him shift to 5th. Those cars only have 5 gears, like ours. But, while he's shifting to 5th, Im still going in 4th. When he did that, it was over. I started gaining some ground on him, going about 125 or so, then I shifted into 5th, and took the **** off. Lol. I ended up topping it out at 153MPH baby. He was about 4-5 cars behind me, still trying to catch up.
Just another war-story!!

hey, i believe you beat a 300zx or 350z but there is a huge difference between the too. you should definitely know which one is which. and the 350z's don't have a turbo model.
300zxtt= twin turbo

350z= n/a

350z with aftermarket turbo kit

the first pic is a friend of mine here on guam, he doesn't have a lot done and he hit 11.90@112 yesterday at the track. he has stock turbos and stock intercoolers. the other 2 350z's are just cars i've seen here on guam. i can tell you this too, 300zxtt's are extremely fast from a roll as well as a dig. they do not come close to having to shift to 5th at 115. i know my friend has wrapped his speedometer all the way around doing like 180mph. he also doesn't have the stock ecu restricting his speed either tho.

yea, it's possible. i think if he can hit 112 in the quarter he can do 180 on an interstate.
here's the vid of his 11sec pass

lets not forget the aerodynamics that the z32's have
^^^+1 that's why i said he wouldn't have shifted at 115 if it was a 300zxtt. z32's are beasts. i'd almost say that a 350z would win at those speeds. but i don't know too much about them. i would doubt it if he raced a z32 n/a. he would definitely win against that.
I attempted to get this guy in a 350Z to run, it was a nice car and very subtle. I noticed this site on his door. I looked it up and am very glad he didn't jump
I would have had my a$$ handed to me..
here are his specs...he is on the front page of the site. The silver 350Z, 4th car down. I'll go take some pics later...
