SS/SC vs jetta 1.8t
Ok so my one friend jus put a **** ton of work, money and parts into his car and we both agree we have to race once he gets it back. Well that time has come he should have it done by today or tomorrow and were gonna begoing to the track to race.
Last time we raced all I had was a header exhaust and intake. He had a few bolt ons and a 50 trim. I had him by like 2-3 cars.
So my question is how would I fair against him now
My mods: ZZP Longtube header and 3" catback
2.9" pulley
ZZP stage 3 H/E
Aem cai w/k&n filter
Ingalls TD
60#s
BYT Tuned
His mods Mk4 jetta 1.8t:
Rebuilt port and polished head w/exhaust valves
Honed block
Integrated drop rods
New piston rings
Eurojet catback
Gt 3071r.63ar
Downpipe(??? Brand)
Once we race I will get it on video and upload it

I gotta buddy that's big into 1.8t's.. From my understanding, a GT30 on one of them will put them a little over 300whp I BELIEVE. Not 100% sure on that.. but I think he'll prolly take you.. but there's always a TVS for ya

I'm not that knowledgeable on VW's, but everyone of them I've raced so far lost. I'm sure they can be made quick just like any other car on the road.
I had a friend back in college with a 1.8t GTI, and she had a lot of money in it. Funny thing is, it didn't run half of the time. I couldn't tell you how many times she had me help her get it running.
I think it put down 317whp when it was actually up and running.
It had a full exhaust, intake, tune, and I believe a slightly larger turbo. They come stock with the K03 I believe, maybe she installed a K04.... I can't remember it has been over 5 years now.

I know they can be just from what I've seen with his is that his tune before he would only be at full boost for like 1000 rpms an that's it but during time it pulled like a mother though. When we raced I put 2 cars on him instantly but towards the end he was gaining ground like there was no tomorrow. But that was his old turbo and tune and practically old car with all the **** he's put in it so far. I think from like a 60 roll he'd have me definately but doing a dead stop race or maybe even a 40 roll I think id have him because I think hell spin the whole time
I drive a tuned and bolted 1.8t. I have 225hp on the stock turbo with the few mods I have. With that turbo, it should be close. If he has some wide meats and can get traction I think he will take you. Otherwise, I think you got him.

He just broke the motor in and turned the boost up it pulls but he doesn't have traction through second and early third so I think I can get far enough ahead that I'll win but I'm getting the race set up now. Its hard when I work first shift and he works second without a specific leave time. Bids will be up soon sorry for the wait
