SS/SC vs. MR2

I was driving on my way to some part with 2 passengers in the car. Along comes an MR2 and Integra and they give me the Ricer fly by and revs his engine. It was a really loud blow off valve, but the exhuast sounded like ****. The Integra pulls ahead and then off to the side letting us have room to race. We stop at a red, he revs and blows off over and over. I look at this kid looks no more then 16 yrs old and my friends were taughting him calling him a rookie. LOL even though I've only been driving stick for a couple months. Anyways, light turns green and we both take off, I murdered him off the line. I was about a car off the line shifting into 2nd, and then he caught up a little, and then another full car by 3rd and then starting pulling. Eventually shutting down around 80 i had him by about a car and a half and pulling. He pulled up next to me gives me the thumbs up and drives away. Really good race, good sport about it.

nice run. too bad he didn't know how to launch that car. would have been a lot closer, probably neck to neck with you inching out.

MR2's are awesome little cars, maybe if he was a better driver he would have taken you.

My buddys with only exhaust and a boost controller was running 8.8 in the 1/8th. Now with his CT20B and intercooler he is running 8.6 and trapping just as high as me on street tires. MR2's are definitely a beast from a stop, he traps 1.8-1.9 60' consistently on 205 street tires. The kid you raced should sell his car.

They accel good but lets not forget where they really shine...those cars handle like they're on rails, I have never drive anything like it. They are so small and dangerous, that was why I never looked at them seriously as a daily driver.

Thumbs up

was it a old body MR2 or new body?

my dream car is a new body MR2 spyder or MRS with either a celica engine w/ turbo and or just turbo the stock engine.... that mid rear drive would be sick for the track im surprised he lost off the line. good race bro
