SS/SC vs Sentra SE-R

Well tonite me and my friend were rolling around town cutting through a gas station and see a SE-R with exhaust and so i reved at him just to screw around and then like 30 minlater we saw him on the road so i fly by him and slow down and he does the ricer fly by. I catch up and he tells me to pull a U turn and race down a certain street and so i do. We decided to do a 40 roll and he decides to gun it on the 2nd honk so im like wtf and i step on it and put 2 cars on him as im shifting into 3rd. And shut her down about midway into 3rd.

decent kill, although, was it an SE-R or an SE-R Spec-V? the regular SE-R's are auto's, so it'd be even easier to whomp.

those things respond pretty well to bolt ons, and yeah the Spec-V is a six speed, nasty off the launch, but if you get that 2nd gear roll, toast.

Gah there are SE-R(not Spec V) available in manuals as well.

Sounds like you ran against just a SE-R and not Spec V.

People stop thinking all SE-Rs are Spec Vs. Two different trim levels.

And both are cake walk for an SS/SC.

I used to absoultely destroy them with my old SS/NA...I would hate to see what the SC or TC would do them.

They are torque little *******...with a 2.5 they better

This is fuggin hilarious.

"so i reved at him just to screw around"

Its always screwing around when a member on this site does it. But when someone does it to a member on this site, its "Some Ricer was revving at me today."

"so i fly by him and slow down and he does the ricer fly by."

So what was your Fly-By called? A Regular Fly-By? Its then becomes a Ricer Fly-By when he does it back to you, letting you know he wants some? I have no problem with fly-by's... its a good way to let someone know you are interested. But don't do it to someone... and then call them a Ricer when they do it back. And technically, a ricer fly-by has traditionally been when someone flies by you AFTER the race.

Just a few things that I thought I'd point out. I'm not one to call some a ricer, but when you are calling someone else a ricer for doing the exact same thing you just did... it kind of urks me.

Have a nice day.

Oh yeah. Only way they have a chance to run even at the drag strip is the driver of SS S/C miss a gear or bad launch. But even though the Spec V is a SE-R I refer the Spec V as a Spec V and not a SE-R. Because the SE-R has a different setup to get less power(that has still been undetermined, but its been narrowed down to the tuning file).

Quickest Spec V I saw was a 14.8 stock. My buddy sold his as soon as he could not get traction anymore and he rather get a AWD or RWD than spend the money on making the FWD get traction. He's glad he made that decision as he drives a 11s DD WRX.

I can say that the spec-v's aren't really that fast. I raced one awhile back and beat him. I know he atleast had exhaust and intake. He now drives a SS/SC and is on this site...PM Xenozx and ask. Lol he doesn't reall like the fact I beat him but at the time all I was running was a Weapon R intake...I'm a 2.2L auto. Id say maybe he cant drive but I beleive he is running mid/low 13's in his SS/SC. Hes a cool dude though

Nissan needs to just insure better quality in that car.

Run across a Spec V with the 350Z 3.5L motor in it....its a factory option.

Yes actually there are a few spec vs running around with the VQ in them. There is a couple guys that do it around the country.

My last car was an 02 Spec V. Really loved that car and it treated me well. I believe stock, they dyno around 165whp.

Whoa little high. Close but a still a little high.

Yeah first one done was Travis who lived down in LA for awhile. I saw my first VQ swap at Nopi Nationals in ATL back in 2006. Other than that I only saw them online.
