SS/SC vs SRT4

Hi folks -

We ll I got next to a red SRT4 tonight at a light on a 4 lane divided road way out where there is not traffic.

Needless to say......

100% bone stock SS/SC against an unknown (looking very new) SRT4.

We went on green, and I jumped about a 3/4 car on him (all driver ) and then he proceeded to pull by me at about a 4mph passing speed I estinmate - a good pull.

I could hear a bov as he shifted - is that normal on a stock srt4? I was not able to talk with the guy, but I honked and gave him thumbs up and he waved back.

Dunno if it was modded or not, but it SOUNDED like it was modded to me.

I lost fair and square, but I figure with a GM stage 2 it would have been close.

At least I am learning how to launch it and not hit the RL in first.

best regards -

Nice run and if he had a blow off, then there's a good chance that he had some more under the hood as well. Most skittle owners don't stop at just the bov.

They come stock with a recirc, just so you know.

With the stock surge valve, all you need to add is an open filter intake system and you'll hear it blow off through the intake. I havent added any BOV to my car, just a CAI and it blows off quite nicely.

Good race, It sounds like a stock pull, but if it SOUNDED modded, then I dont know. BOV's add 462 whp. So everytime you heard that noise a midget with wheels for legs pops out underneath the SRT4 and shoots its BOOSTERS and actually pushes the neon across the finish line. Im sorry you had to encounter this, but eh.

Hi pOrk -

Funny -

The one I ran into was red just like yours - nice looking car IMO.

I say it sounded modded, but I have only one other SRT4 race, and I was in my Z06 so I could not hear the SRT over the exhaust of the Z.

I didn't know about the midget booster-legs - sounds like another unique mopar performance idea.

Thanks for the info and the laugh.

best regards -
