So I embarrassed a kid in his 08 SS/TC that was trying to call me out in front of my buddies. We went from a dig, and I walked him by at LEAST 5 cars. Went from a retarded 30ish roll while he brake boosted, and again...I just steadily pulled away til I had 4 or 5 cars on him.

I'm just exhaust, intake, 2.8, 60s, meth...

He told me he didnt know what to do to it...I told him to look up trifecta, order their tune, and slap that on. Another TC guy did that and made 306whp with just their tune.

Stage 1 is nothing either if you have 60s, meth and a good tune.

Once the TCs have a good custom tune on them it is a different story though.

Good run, obv he isnt the best driver, you should get him, but not that many car lengths.....

Also if he says he doesnt know what to do with it, he has no idea about tunes and stuff, prob just heard about a turbo 4 bangor in a cheap cobalt and bought it.

He had a 5spd LS cobalt first, and wrecked it. His parents bought him the TC as a gift. He already bottomed it out (on stock suspension) and broke the plastic ends off the stock IC. So he does have some aftermarket IC on it now.

the ram beat you or u beat the ram? wouldnt shock me if you took the ram. Cant remember the times but my friend with his SS/TC with intake and a tune and my first time down the strip in the truck, he had about 2-3 cars on me when we crossed the line on the 1/4 mile.

Actually, I bet if he was stage 1 it would have been a closer race. The SS/TC would have jumped ahead right off the bat, but the SS/SC would reel him in at the top, then repeat at the next gear. It probably would have been pretty back and forth but the SS/SC would probably inch ahead, especially depending on the tune on your SS/SC.

I bet against a custom tuned stage 1 SS/TC you would have been the one being walked.

I looked at the ZZP kit that blows thru the s/c housing and I thought about it, but ehhh... My power goals arent that far up there...

 

look for an 08 and keep get a warranty + stage kit >= Tvs... with a warranty!!!

I agree with some of you on here. He would need a custom tune to walk the OPs car. A GM stage 1 TC will not be walking on him. It'll make it more interesting but the OP will win that race most of the time.

 

Both races, it was a hard, steady pull, and he never came back at all. Took the runs to 110-120mph to see if he would get me top end... nope.
