SS/TC Vs EVO 8 - Stock Turbo E85 Showdown!

Ran across this guy at a meet. I've seen the car around and wondered if it was fast. Turns out he's maxed out on the stock turbo with full bolt-ons, E85, and cams. I have a 1 passenger disadvantage for the runs.

No dig races, sorry. He wanted a roll for fear of breaking ****.

Good runs! Was expecting the EVO to walk away more. If he wasn't a puss it would of been some road rape from a dig if he could drive. Kudos to you for giving him the dig offer too.

Wow those were some good runs! I've never raced a stock turbo Evo that fast before.

Nice runs and really well put together video! Seems about right. My friend's Evo 8 back on stock turbo with some really mild Crower 272's on 30 lbs E85 I tuned ran 11.6 @119, and on my TVS setup I was right at his back bumper when we would run from a roll.

damn, what is the stock turbo in an evo 8? it flows enough air to run 30 psi or is that just a spike?

I know nothing about Evo's lol

Just a form of a 16G with the 9.8 hotside, or some of them came with the 10.5 hotside. My friend's is an 03 so it had the little 9.8. They hold about 21-22 to redline. The 9 turbo is quite a bit more efficient.
