ss/tc turning into srt...............


i had the same problem with a kid like this in my area....he wouldnt get out of his precious tc tho ;[....they seem to only be tough behind the wheel

 

How the hell do you make that kind of generalization? Just cause this guy is talking trash about buicks means all TC owners feel that way? Personally I think hes an idiot making the reference, "Its just a regal" because thats a two way street....we are just Cobalts in the end right? Yes, buick does cater to the older crowd but how about the Buick GN? Id love to have the car for a "Sunday morning flyby."

FYI: 90% of the time my posts are just to **** with the non cobalt owners that post in this forum. If you acually read my posts they are dripping with sarcasm. Kinda hard to read sarcasm though

 

that is a 13.5-13.7 car MAYBE mid-13s on DRs

I have 1/8th mile time slips with it, including 2.0 60s on street tires(you aren't doing much better than that in a GTP) and guess what... some guys here have went faster through the 1/8th in STOCK t/cs(I haven't ran my t/c yet, plan on it after its tuned )

and the BEST 1/8th it ever pulled, not the best 60' though(which is where the GTP is the FASTEST, the 1st 660')



the only "bolt-on" it didn't have was headers, but it had a ported upper manifold so wasn't on the stock manifolds either... with headers it would have ran mid/low 13s... yeah would still get absolutely torn apart by a LNF in a race from a roll that went past 80, and soon enough the LNF will be like a srt-4 neon, good luck finding one stock...

Im not as bad as some of the TC owners.

 

I don't claim unrealistic wins either in this car... in fact my "kill list"

is a '96 Cobra, a '06 350Z, and a new Rousch F150(which are terribly slow)

that is all I have beat... I have been beaten by a modded '06 GT Mustang(he has nitrous but DID NOT spray), ran door to door with a WS6 from a 35 roll(he started pulling about 100 though)... that is pretty much my racing career in this car

but I had a bolt-on/rocker'd/pullied GTP for years, I know about their lack of top end, 0-80, 0-100, hell even 1/4 mile... they can do alright... they are NOT cars you want to run from a roll... cars you will beat 0-100 will spank you from a 40 roll or so

unless you have a cam or turbo, which he does not

 

You got sucked in enough to try and play punch face with a kid a 4cyl chevy....

if I disable everything its about the same result for me. I do with the CSRT4 would come with meatier tires though

Its pretty crazy. I originally thought I busted something. Started at a 40 mph, went WOT, spin to 60-65, change gears, still spinning. The speedo doesnt catch up until about 80 mph. If I start from first, forget about it...

The TQ hits really hard on this turbo, even though its a bigger turbo.

Talking on the internet is one thing. Me talking **** about the buick is no worse then many of slo's comments about SS/TC's . I honestly could care less though, its the ******* internet, I would say the same **** in person, and if they go off, then they can have fun pretending their teeth are chiclets flying down the back of their throat.

I agree about the internet fun and games.

However, in person u just dont do that kind of stuff. If someone does, and something bad happens to them the only person to blame is themselves for talking **** like a 5 yr old in the first place.

If someone talked **** about my car on the road, I would probly follow them and key the **** out of their car.
