SS/TC vs SRT8 Charger

My car is an 08 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC with a tune and almost full bolt-on's making 318whp 366wtq.

So I was crusing around in Mexico tonight on a highway with light traffic and I see a red SRT-8 Dodge Charger off in the distance. As i'm getting closer I see/hear that it has an aftermarket cat-back, tinted windows, and some gun-metal (possibly stock) rims. We're doing about 70mph and I glance over at the driver and it turns out to be a cute little blonde chick. I grin knowing it's going to be a good race if I can get her to go and she took the bait.

From 70 I hit on it and let off. It took her a second to catch on so I started out with a half car length lead and we both were off. At 110mph I was barely able to pull with only getting about 1.5 car lengths ahead.

From 65mph she took off and got out a good car and a half jump on me as I was not expecting it. Man that thing sounded sweet as I heard it in my window all the way up to 140mph where I was finally able to pull even then I shut it down. Normally I never will travel at that speed but I just got caught up in the moment and wasn't thinking clearly.

After that run I pulled up even with her while crusing back at the speed limit and gave a thumbs up which she immediately returned.

After seeing how well that charger does at highway speeds i'm sooooo glad we didn't run from a stop/first gear roll

That's awesome! You should have told her to race you again and if you won she should have given you her number and if she won you should have given her your number.

NICE!! i raced a chick in an 06ish Saab 9-3. Surprisingly she was keeping right up with me till about 120mph when i started pulling on her. We both got off the expressway and she smiled and winked at me revved and then turned and took off. lol!! She was a sexy lil thing i kick myself everyday for not following her...

Awesome.. Love it when chicks wanna play..
A while back I was cruising home and this Blacked out Civic Si comes out of nowhere exceeding speed limits.. I'm like Hey.. No one exceeds speed limits when I'm around.. So I commenced pursuit and we caught a few red lights.. I obviously slaughtered from the get go and when I slowed down she would be all on my ass trying to pass me.. This happened 3-4 times until I just didn't slow down anymore and left her somewhere 3 blocks behind me..i pull up to my parking lot.. There she is behind me.. Parks in the street.. That's when I realized it was a girl driving and I felt kinda bad.. But turns out she lives across the street from me.. Lol..

RT = 5.7L 370hp
SRT-8 = 6.1L 425hp

The Charger is roughly the same weight (built on the same platform), and has the same engine as a Challenger SRT8;
just an FYI.

FYI #2;
beware of 2011 Challenger SRT-8's;
2011 Challenger (and forthcoming 2012 Charger SRT-8) = 470hp

Good thing you were tuned-those things obviously move. You need to race her in the twisties.
I don't go looking for street races and they don't really find me these days HOWEVER-
couple months ago I was waiting for an arrow to make a left turn onto a local 4 lane divided hwy when I notice a gal in a Porsche Boxster pull up behind me. I made the turn and stayed in the inside lane, mainly because the right lane was uneven from truck traffic.
I wasn't wasting any time but this beeotch was right on my ass. I guess she wanted to show off her entry level Porsche,idk, but she whipped into the right lane and nailed it. I was in 2nd and gassed it mainly to get a better look at her/her car. Two things were apparent-she wasn't bad(for her age) and she was ON IT. I ran out 2nd and when I hit 3rd I had several cars on her already so I paused to see if she was still on it (she was,bless her heart) so I widened the gap again and shut down around 110 or so. As she went by she looked over with a sheepish grin so I gave her a honk.
Pretty sure it wasn't a new "S" version (330 hp?) but good for a giggle.

If it was a 40 roll you would have probably taken that SRT8 like nothing. I was driving home monding my own business a while ago and a bolted up 300C SRT8 got all butt hurt that I timed a red light and went by him as it changed to green. He came up and dropped his auto down a gear or 2 about 40 so I did too... I honked of, gave him the hit... After he had half a car my turbo spooled, tires started spinning, I shifted into 3rd at his door and yanked like 3 cars on him seriously fast. He stopped and turned onto a side street... at 70 that 6.2 hemi starts to get its legs back on its run to top speed.

Our cars may be quick from 40-140 but on a long enough race there are a lot of cars with more top end that will win simple fact.

And FLYR... My buddy has a Boxter S and it is nothing to write home about for straight line performance... but dang they can corner like a raped ape.
