SS/TC vs STI

I was minding my business leaving work around 09:30-10:00 PM driving home slappin my tunes when a white sti sedan pulls up behind me , (one of the newer ones , sounded & looked stock)at a red light and we had a stretch in front of us before the next one . Green light , I ease out of 1st into low 2nd & he's on my tail , trying to get in front of a truck in the lane next to me. Space opens up and he tries the get over real quick and mash the gas tactic . NOPE . Waited till he got to about my passenger side mirror and I punch it .We become even for a about 4 seconds or so till I stopped spinning in 2nd ( bald tires ftl ) and I fly out on him about a car , car & a half before I get off the gas coming up on the next light . Hits green before I come to a full stop so I downshift , let him come back up . We do a 35-40 roll on his hit and I get him again , same speed traction less till I grab then start moving out . Got on the freeway and he didn't want to play anymore , had his ass doing the speed limit in the fast lane lmao . He looked soo confused too. Like wtf happened . Straight killed his vibe ahaha , some white guy , looked to be around the same age as I (90s baby). Just wanted to share my story , never came across a newer sti before . I know they're heavier and all but I'll take it ...Crazy how underestimated the SS can be .

They're awd so drivetrain loss gets worse and worse the faster you go.

I've taken an 04(same drivetrain as the new one) from 30mph with a stock TC.

oh yeah, Ive owned so many STis from a 40 roll.

I have a 2014 WRX and from a roll I think a stock LSJ could take it.

Yeah the Drivetrain loss murders em. A new stock STI is a mid to low 13's car in the 1/4 though, so I wouldn't think a stock LSJ could do it unless the STI driver sucks. I'm pretty sure my 3.7 stang could take a stock one from a higher roll, but definitely not a dig with my current setup.

There just like the LNF though, a nice tune really wakes them up.
