I was on my way home when a '00-'05 GT pulls up next to me. We cruised for a while side by side. Then, out of nowhere, he dropped it and took off. I was in 3rd gear@ 55mph, when I hit it. Funny part was, i still walked him At the next light, he said "man, those things are pretty fast. Nice Car." I told him thanks, and we both waved and went our seperate ways. he was a nice guy, but I still thought it was funny that I beat him out of powerband.
Off topic, when I was on the streets, a jeep with three hot chicks was cruisng next to me. they were provoking a race. One of the chicks said "let's see it go." So of course I obliged, and punched it for a sec. They liked it, and were like "aawwooo". I think they were drunk, but it was fun anyways.

 

Shoulda gave 'em the shocker wave "Two in the Pink, one in the Stink!" LOLOLOL! Damn I need to grow up.

similar experience here..last year around prom time, a bunch of girls in a humm-v limo stuck their heads out and asked me and other car to race. so we did, sorta. good times. hot girls and fast cars. i love it.

 

Hate to break it to you, but those hot girls were just making fun of you. Girls like sexy cars, not fast ones. The Cobalt is attractive, but doesn't fit into the sexy category.

 

00-05 gt's are slow. a gts would give you a lil more competition but you'll still win.

 

With the price of gas these days, who "cruises" in 3rd gear at 55 mph anymore (lol)

Actually they did. The 3rd Gen GT's had 200hp, but the GT-S's got Variable Valve Timing or something and were bumped up to 210hp.

Something like that.... but the point is, there WAS a 3rd Gen GTS...

 

third gen does not have a turbo version of the eclipse the hightest model was a v6 GTS

2nd gen had the GS-T(turbo).....

 

Not to hate on Eclipse guys but the Eclipse died when they got rid of the GST and GSX and went to the new body style.

The newer N/A 4cyl is super slow and the V6 has it's hands full with my 1993 Z24 until 70mph.

 

 

Mitsu made a huge mistake by taking out the turbo huge!!!! i loved that turbo sounded so sexy and was so quick!


That has to be the dumbest comment ever.... grils first of like w/e the **** they want to like, there girls hell they cant seem to make up their mind, and by using that comment it seems to me like u need a car to impress a girl.....kinda sad
