SS vs. RX-7

One of my friends is planning on getting a used rx7 w/ a twin turbo i believe and i was just wondering where we stand compared to one of those. I know that car is extremely fast, but i was wondering if anyone has raced one or knows someone who has one and can elaborate on the comparision. THANKS!

If his car's engine is in perfect shape (which is rare considering the questionable durability of those rotary engines) then he's gonna have an advantage. He shouldn't be able to leave you in the dust though. It might be a driver's race.

they run 13.9-14.0 stock..... so they should walk a little bit on ya, probably just like the srt-4. but it shouldn't be a slaughter.........

Depend on what year of that RX7 is. If it's FD and is in a pretty decent shape, then it's mid to high 13 second car.

He did say it was twin-turbo....indicating an FD....

FC's only came single turbo...

i believe the FD is rated at 255hp stock so if it's in good running condition it will take you.

yea I raced my friend 94 Rx7 R2 twin turbo.. the only mods he has is a catback and downpipe.. we usually always raced from a roll and we were side by side for a few seconds during 2nd gear going into 3rd but the rx7 jumped ahead pretty quick by a couple cars and I was catching up eventually I was pulling on it cathin up until I redlined at 3rd and he just kept going.. and I am a much more experience driver than he is I taught him how to drive that car actually and he didnt kno how to race at all that well and didnt know he had to be in higher rpms for a good take off or anything so he prolly would have beaten me more.. but his car has a lil over 270 hp with teh minor mods done to it he said.. and is deff a fun car and has some crazy handeling I got to drive it... but yea I dont race nemore.. I got a $1250 ticket less than a month ago and learned my lesson the hard way

if the cars completely stock and not the best condtion it should be a good race. If its in good condition or has mods than its gonna be tough to keep up.
