If it's stock, something might be wrong. I have killed a few S2Ks that were stock and im only Stage 2...

well at 40 relativly speaking your pretty low in the rpm range in second compared to there close ratio 6 speed i'm sure at that speed they would have the advantage

I've only ran one s2k, don't know if he was stock or not. It was the middle of the night from an 80 punch, I pulled a car then after 120 he just pulled away into the night...........

edit: oh and I was just stage 2 only

When I was just stage 2 I raced one to 140 once (didn't realize we were going that fast) and he stayed with me the entire way until I left off...

It had single exhaust so I have no clue what he might have had.

I have raced two s2ks when i was runnin a 2.9 on a stage 2 tune and from a 40 it was really close until like 90 then i started walkin hard on em.. i think one of them had an intake and the other just had a drop in filter

Sounds like you may just be heat soaked by the third run.

you were probably heat soaked like a bitch after 2 other races. i would actually race most S2k's from a dig because they are PITA to launch (no torque does that) so if he messes up the launch its game ova

S2K stock 0-60 in 5.87 and 1/4 mile 14.39
cobalt ss/sc stock 0-60 6.1 and 1/4 mile 14.6

nothing is wrong, but he beat you by a car? from a 40 they are a little quick. they have close ratio 6 speed, they rev up faster

i raced an 07 si civic from a 40 and he jumped a car ahead of me and i reeled him in and passed him at 90 mph. s2k is prolly faster. its basically ur advantages agaisnt his. if u race him from a low speed or a dig, u win. higher speeds, pointless, not even a race =/

in my book, ur car is better, so nothing is wrong

gm stage 2, nates 2.9, ls4 t/b, custom intake, zzp header d/ pipe combo, 3" cat back.those are my performance mods. the guy that had it before me had it tuned by area for the 2.8 pulley and meth maybe so it could've been running better, after that area messed around and retuned my car which i think it pulls a little harder and i got a ingalls torque dampner so i think i can lower me 1/4 time by a tenth or so hopefully
