sstc vs s63 amg (well, almost)
sstc vs s63 amg (well, almost)
Coming home from church this morning I ended up right behind a huge MB and wasn't sure what kind it was. I started looking at badging and was surpised to see S63 AMG We were taking a u turn that merged straight onto the highway. I have 300/350 to wheels (courtesy of byt nick, thank u) and the amg.... Idk?? Well as soon as we were both merged onto highway (with me still behind him) we nailed it. I couldn't believe how nasty that car sounded. Long story short, I stayed right on his tail for a few moments. Maybe he was just half throttle, (I wasn't) but I was right there with him spinning through second!! I'm sure he would waste me, but it was fun. So fun that my better half started yelling at me to slow down. She hates when I hit the throttle with her as a passenger. I was only lookin for a short burst race, nothin else. The only thing I know bout that car is it weighs close to 2.5 tons!! I'll never know...... But after that he went around someone on the shoulder and went through a yellow/red light
sounds about right they only put down around 420's to the wheels in a car that weighs a solid ton heavier. honestly if the benz was stock i'd say a 300 hp cobalt would pull pretty good
You might be thinking of the AMG C63 (450ish hp) which puts out a little bit less than the S63 (520ish).
nope im talking about rear wheel horsepower. The S63 AMG makes 518 hp and 441 torque at the crank that is somewhere around 410-430 hp and around 370 torque at the rear wheels with a curb weight of 4960 pounds assming the cobalt is making 300 hp and 350 torque at the front wheels then i would say the cobalt would have a pretty good chance of winning at least down low. The C63 AMG makes 451 crank hp and around 370-380 hp at the rear wheels and is much faster than an S63 due to the lighter weight.

guys a 2010 mercedes S63 AMG runs a 13.0 and traps 110 mph. Do you really think a 110 mph trap car at half throttle will stay even with a cobalt that has 300 hp and 350 torque at the wheels from a roll. You realize there are people here with identical power numbers as the OP that have trapped 113 mph and ran into the 12's. forget half throttle the OP should have pulled him with him going at it full throttle.

lol im saying that you guys think the cobalt is slower than it really is. you got the s63 right at a 110 trap but a cobalt making 300/350 wheel is faster than an S63 AMG and in the OP's scenario there is no chance in hell that the S63 is half trottle
