My best friend just traded his car in and got a used 04 black srt-4. So naturally we went out racing the second we go off work. His car alreday has some work done to it, mopar stage 1, massive intercooler, cai, short throw shifter, and some other small things. We went from dead stop first, i pulled 2 off the line while he was spinning and he never gained them back, i shut down around 130mph with about 4-5 cars on him. When we went from a roll it was a liitle more in his favor but i still managed to stay about 1/2-1 car ahead. Im really surprised i was winning from a roll, i figure i got a month or so til he learns how to drive his car, then ill be the one 5 cars behind, lol. His car sounds sick though, makes me want to buy that Hahn twincharger system so i can have a loud ass BOV!!!

Yeah i know im done once he gets used to driving stick again. He stalled the car like 4 times when we were driving around, lol. That and his short throw shifter is a pain in the ass to put into gear and the gears are hard to find, so thats helping me more than him

Nice kill man but yeah, just wait until he learns how to launch it. It is a hard car to launch with all that torque. Takes alot of practice but once he gets it he will be gone. Just be glad he probably won't use DRs or cheater slicks when he races you. Traction is our worst enemy. The car is fairly fast stock but it is the lack of traction that owns us.

Either way your cobalt can be built up to be a SRT-4 slayer though. I like and give props to both cars.

Nice kill, I love to run SRTs, especially big turbo SRTs.

 

nice kill man.....it s always good to hear that...but both cars r amazing 4-bangers and i give respect to srt4s cuz there beasts...i have some friends and they talk about cobalts like there better then srt4s so its all love ....jus think there a brother from another mother(manufacture).....lol...p.s get the stage kit asap
