Sti vs Srt4
Was at a local chill spot and some sti kid approached me and asked me if i wanted to run...he 17yrs old and daddy bought his car(he admitted his dad bout the car for him),and he told me all of his mods..

vf48 turbo(08 sti turbo,better wastegate,1cm bigger than stock)stock is vf39 i beleive
cobb s2 reflash
full 3" turbo-back exhaust
short ram intake
Tuned on 93 octane
he said he made 330awhp@24psi
we did 1 run from 40-150mph,i had 1 260lbs'ish passenger with me,and he was alone(he weights about 150lbs)
head to head from 40-100mph and around 115 i started to pull away slowely and by 150 i had about 1 car lead on him.
we stopped at a local wendys to grab food,and he asked me what i ran at the track..i told him 13.5 he said no way,cuz he ran 12.4 little over 1 week ago..guess he doesnt know what bolt on's do on the skittle,even tho the little td04 turbo is weak,it still has ***** if driven/tuned right
oh btw,it was a highway run at 3am...about 2-4 cars on the whole 6mile strech of road

he needs someone to tell him that? cuz im pretty sure he was well aware what he was doing was not legal! but then again i love street racing! good kill...

he said it was 1.6ish..which prolly sounds about right..he was also on all-season tires

good kill. i wouldn't be surpised though. world on the street is awd and roll racing tends to be ftl. not saying i'm an authority on it but i've known a few stories of quick awd cars ending the same way.

i think i posted size..1cm bigger than the stocker...he said his stock one cracked and he bought a 08 sti turbo since it had a better wastegate than the 06-07sti's,for the same price

The 04-06 STi's came with VF39's, the 07's came with a VF43 which has a 1cm bigger wastegate. This guy just wanted a stock replacement that won't creep, which he could have got from a VF39 with a ported waste gate. From what's going around about the VF-48's they make a smidgeon more, but nothing to write home about. If your stocker goes on an STi you should either go with another stocker or quit dicking around and go with an FP Green at least. In the world of poll smoking, I mean street racing you should avoid IHI turbos.
