The 04-06 STi's came with VF39's, the 07's came with a VF43 which has a 1cm bigger wastegate. This guy just wanted a stock replacement that won't creep, which he could have got from a VF39 with a ported waste gate. From what's going around about the VF-48's they make a smidgeon more, but nothing to write home about. If your stocker goes on an STi you should either go with another stocker or quit dicking around and go with an FP Green at least. In the world of poll smoking, I mean street racing you should avoid IHI turbos.
