HUH? 270 hp is the same no matter what engine it comes out of, yes the curves may be different but you can't say one would be better than another, with a turbo and 270 whp the 2.2 and 2.4 would put more torque out than the 2.0 so they would be faster in general.

But anyways, i saw TAG has their cobalt with 270 WHP and ran a 13 7 or something at 105.XX. Since the GTO traps at 108 it would still be pulling away and stock GTO have the capability of running a 12.9 so it may be true that 270Whp isn't enough, depends on driver, day, and car conditions.... ect so the only way to know is to race em so get out there when you have that thing done and show us what she can do.

well, the gto has the edge but it would be fun to give them a run for the money

Still though the Cobalt doesn't have the gearing advantage over a GTO, the Cobalt would need the same power to have the gearing advantage.

Any way you slice it I think to many people here forget that LS1/LS2 cars just keep going and going. They are awesome from a dig and even better from a roll.

I learned that the hard way. I raced an sts-V 6speed auto the other night and i was nosing him out from 40 all the way till 125-130 then it seems like my car just ran out of breath in comparrison to the STS-V. I was mad as hell i raced all that time just to get effortlessly walked on upstirs like that. I have 265 WHP

What year STS-V did you race?

A CTS-V would have pulled on you right away and the STS-V has 469HP. All of the V-Series Cadillac's would easly walk a 265HP Cobalt from any MPH roll.

I would be willing to bet it was a simple 4.6 Northstar CTS or STS.

I was in denial and was ready to argue sine i've raced my buddy's 6.0 Auto GTO from a roll and results were similar but i got walked earlier but i then i just saw the sts has a
Performance model
4.6L V8, 32 valve, 320 hp @ 6400 rpm
* 6 speed automatic transmission
That but would also explain why it had a mean exhaust note but I did notice after seeing another STS-v that the exhaust is really bling on those cars and the one i raced exhaust wasn't so much. So I'll Believe it Cody thanks for showing me the light. I Did really believe it to much either my self Since i like dealing with realism
Only thing that bothers me is why i can BEAT 3.2L I6 333HP M3's from a 40 roll. Not by alot but I can do it almost everytime. Then a heavier Bastard of a car come along with a 4.6L V8 320HP and deals me out like that upstairs. Well weather i can believe it or not It looks like i lost to a northstar........oh well and life goes on
