Nope, passed that stage in my life!

Not sure why you are brining a stock SC clutch in to this when the original discussion was a one year old bolt on TC who's clutch was upgraded from the SC; not exactly apples to apples there...

The more you say it wasn't an excuse the more it sounds like one. If it smells like ****, tates like **** and looks like ****, it probably is ****...

No doubt a Vette is bad ass, but the majority of Vette owners I have ever met in my life think they are gods gift to cars and all they really did was buy the fastest car there pocket book could afford. I like to see them get smacked around a little by "econo" cars.
Someone sounds jealous... You buy what you can afford and what you like, plan and simple. If you can't afford a vette and you buy an HHR SS no problem, you bought what you could afford. Using the example of it costs X amount more money and if you put X amount of money in to the cheaper and beat it sounds alot like jealousy to me. Succeed in life, buy the more expensive car then be the vette person in your story rather then the HHR person...

Dude your a ****** moron, do you think the HHR SS is the only car I've ever owned. I currently own 4 cars, I've noticed you like to run your ****** mouth alot on these forums and try to start ****. Why you haven't been banned thus far is beyond me.
You want to make fun of the HHR SS that fine, but heres a reality check for you. You own a 1970 AMX pos AMC vehicle, I don't care how rare it is, you can only polish a turd so much, but its still a turd, rare or not.
FYI I had someone offer to trade a Vette for my Grand National and turned him down. Who would want a Vette everyone owns a Vette, just another production car on the road.

And everyone wonders why CSS has gone downhill so much? Damn, take your bitching and whining to pm's. The whole war stories section should be deleted, it's nothing but fanboyism and petty insults.

Back on topic with this thread. Op, good race.

yeah with those mods your power claims are believable. idk why some ppl dont think that much power is achievable on the stock turbo. lol.

id like that much power, but on a diffrent turbo.

Now if that had been ME beating the Vette my reply to the guys questions would have been more like "it's a stock eco 4 banger". And "it's not THAT fast, just faster than YOU." THAT would have given me the woodie just trhinking about how he felt. But then I'm a little more mature than most of you'll.

Pretty cool! I got a ride in a stock SRT Neon.. other than a 100 shot on it. I was breaking it loose at 70 mph in 3rd on the Hwy. I was in total shock. lol.. was a fun ride. I wonder what our cars would be like on the juice???

Area47 ran the stock clutch on his 350whp+ car for over 100,000 miles. It has a lot to do with driver error.

what do u guys think a tuned ss/tc (lets say 22psi trifecta tuned) with intake and catless dp would do against a stock auto c5 vette? its pretty much just a base c5 vette fully stock and automatic. from a 40 or 60 roll. my friend wants to race me when we get back from deployment after my mods.

I really don't agree with that. I took it on the highway only 2 days after getting the tune and I get slip in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. So driver error? No. Does Area57 put down 350+ in torque too. Plus, is he a LSJ? Didn't they have a different clutch assembly?
