So I'm on my lovely journey to work this morning and I'm minding my own business when this stupid ass in a white Acura TL flies by me and cuts me off and then gets stuck at the same light as me. I blew it off and just ignored him but further down on the same road he some how got behind me again cut me off again in his efforts to be first at this light. But this time the lane to the right of him. He just looks at me and I looked back and smirked . The light turns green and I don't take off HARD just kinda quick because I'm not sure if he is going to race or not. Sure enough he took off hard. I shifted into second at like 4K because I wasn't sure what he was going to do but I punched it in second pulled and pulled and pulled. It was early so I let off at like 80 and had a bus or 2 on him .

That is all. Just thought I would tell my morning wake up story .

Naw the TLs are actually faster than the aveo my friends dad had one he beat me lol.

 

the tl type s are fast, i raced one when i was stock and he pulled on me bad on the 40 roll but he was modded........good kill on the tl

 

hmmm how bad he pull on you? the same same guy that had the regular TL upgraded to a TL Type-S and wants to race. haha.

 

ok well even the tl made from 2004 and up had 270hp vtec. my mom drives a 2006 six speed tl and that will get up and go. it hits 150 like nobodys business. you wouldnt walk that even if you were modded a little lets put it that way. was the tl you raced the new one or older one? was it auto or not? that plays a big difference. hell the tl you raced could have just been a bitch and not floored it, just driving spirited, you never know. nonetheless, good kill

 

i have no clue what year it was but i did my research the regular TL's are low 15 second cars cuz they weigh a ton. Type-S are right in the same range as the Cobalts and Redlines.

 

04 and newer TLs in just the base models are high 14 second cars

 

New SAE ratings killed that quick - they are re-rated to 252 hp now, and the TLS is a solid 286. 06+ ratings reflect the changes. Still quick cars, and damn good looking.

My buddies completely stock 2004 TL 6spd ran a 14.3 @ 99mph. He just got a 2008 TL-S 6spd and went 13.9 @ 102.

Probably was an auto. The 6 speeds are decent as someone posted above. The autos are a dog. My mom has an auto one and the way that tranny shifts is horrid.

 

to answer your question spectral....i lost pretty bad to that tl type s, it was def a six speed....lets just say that i was doing 120mph and he kept pulling(btw it was on deserted road) ...but like i said he was modded...

 

man you have so many races its rediculous..send some up here i wouldn't mind one every now and then..maybe like once every 2 months or so lol...i think u should stop with that many races though gas prices arn't cheap haha..specialy up here in ..i myself have noticed that not on purpose just unconciously im driving slower/ aka more to speed limit more of the time and not putting as much gas on starts and stuff

well, what can i say...im addicted to speed...plus gas is not a matter to me 'cause i got a credit card for gas ..down here premium is about $4.31...also, if you lived in philly, believe me you will get your fair share of race from friday to sunday
