TVS VS Trifecta LNF

I have yet to run any LNF's so Soundjunky (Jon) was in town and we decided to have a pull. I put the Go Pro on backwards and hoped for the best lol.

Me: TVS with bolt on's running meth

Soundjunky: Trifecta Tuned 21psi and MPX downpipe

looks pretty bad huh?

... that was my first sixty roll.
~ I'm not going to pull a ricer and make excuses, I'll just suck it up as another loss in my looooooong list of losses.

you should have seen Dustin pull out of the parking lot on sunday night;
He rolled out all casual like, then stomped on it and almost appeared to make his car hop over a lane!

That Cobalt is plain nasty - and very worthy of respect.

your comment would be somewhat more effective of illustrating your point if you had a sig pic of your car Mike!

Thanks for the complements guys! You can make more power with a turbo but the whine, instant torque and being the underdog ( to turbo guys) will forever make me keep my TVS.

Jon your ricer excuse is this was your first 60 roll race. My ricer excuse is I'm still knocking (tune still in progress)

^^that is all win in my books.

There's a TVS that I think is in it's fourth car right now, and is rumored to be going into a 5th... I'm glad to read you have no plans of changing it, or going anywhere...

I surely wasn't trying to excuse my loss, I told you I expected to lose from the outright.

I just felt the need to clarify that this was my first sixty-roll... nothing more.
It could have been my fifty-first, and i have no doubt I'd still lose to you - your car is faster than mine, and our quarter mile times are all I need to see as proof.

Brake boosting?

I've read the term before, but frankly it's gibberish to me.

This is my daily driver guys... and since recently upping the tune from plain old GMS1, I am still at the point of having fun with rolling in 2nd, and making it get squirrelly from simply tromping on it...

I'm just kidding Jon haha. I forgot to turn on the sarcasm font lol.

Brake boosting is when you are beside someone about to race from a roll you push on the brakes slightly to bring your boost up so there is less lag when you stomp the gas.

Cover the brake lightly and give it gas to spool the turbo, that way when you take off there's little to no lag time. Lag time being the time it takes to achieve full boost.

Thanks man. Don't hear that too often coming from a TC owner haha. But I guess comparing apples to apples I have a lot more invested into my mods then he does.

By a lot more mods do you mean an e blend and hptune? I love seeing tvs setups vs bolt on lnfs. Either way a cobalt wins

No E up on Canada or I'd be running it lol. There's a ton of TCs that roll where I am. I'm the only SC around with a TVS. I like being different
